Not to take anything away from how well Freiburg have defended, because they have been superb, but Dortmund have really lacked the necessary quality in their deliveries up top. They have had plenty of red shirts to navigate around, but no one in yellow has been able to pick out that decisive ball.
90'
There will be three minutes added on at the end of this match...
89'
P. Stenzel enters the game and replaces M. Terrazzino.
Freiburg's final change sees Pascal Stenzel replace Terrazzino.
88'
Everyone forward for Dortmund now as we approach the final moments. All hands on deck for both sides, Dortmund to try and get a goal, Freiburg to keep them out. The hosts have shown incredible character to get to this point, something Dortmund need in a big way now.
86'
Unbelievable how the tides have shifted over the course of this match. It was desperate times for Freiburg to adjust to the sending off, and a long road ahead for them to keep Dortmund out. Now, Dortmund have plenty of desperation creeping in, and time is suddenly working against them.
84'
STAT: Dortmund have won three competitive games in a row for the first time since February-March. BVB are unbeaten in 11 matches in all competitions spanning multiple seasons (W8 D3) – their best run since January-April 2016 (18 games).
82'
Piszczek sneaks in behind the defence at the far post to meet a cross, and sends a tidy header back across goal, but it drifts inches wide! What do Dortmund have to do to break this deadlock? If it's coming at all, it will be late.
80'
DORTMUND SCORE... but it's disallowed! Aubameyang has the ball in the back of the net, but the whistle sounded seconds earlier after Sokratis was caught! It was barely a foul, and Dortmund are livid with the decision, but the call stands!
79'
A. Yarmolenko enters the game and replaces M. Götze.
Bosz hands a debut to Andriy Yarmolenko here, replacing Gotze - the Ukraine international coming on for the final 10 minutes. Can he prove to be the gamebreaker they so desperately need?

Description
77'
Dortmund back on the front foot, but there's no opening to be found. This has been a defensive masterclass from the 10 men of Freiburg, who have just under 15 minutes to go now to see this out in the most improbable fashion.
75'
Rare moments of respite for Freiburg as they get into the attacking half and win a free-kick, one that boils down to a bit of frustration for the visitors. Frantz delivers the subsequent set-piece into the area, but muted appeals for a penalty with Soyuncu going down are ignored by the referee. It wasn't a bad shout though.
73'
Sahin, full of confidence having ended a 925-day Bundesliga goal drought on the last matchday, twists and turns atop the box before firing a shot at goal, but his effort lacks any sort of power as it's chipped kidnly into the waiting arms of Schwolow.
71'
STAT: Dortmund have won their last 12 Bundesliga clashes against Freiburg – their best current run of victories against a top-flight side. There has only been one longer winning run in Bundesliga history (Bayern have won their last 14 games against Wolfsburg – still ongoing).
69'
Dortmund are at 80 per cent possession! EIGHTY PER CENT. Eight-zero. Unbelievable. That's an almost unheard of figure, and yet they cannot find a way to breakdown the 10 men of Freiburg! Into the final 20 minutes we go momentarily...
67'
Abrashi hacks Philipp down at the top of the area, awarding Dortmund a free-kick in a very threatening position, but Sahin's subsequent effort from 20 yards is hit straight into the wall!
65'
F. Niederlechner enters the game and replaces T. Kleindienst.
Kleindienst, who had a great chance to open the scoring early for Freiburg, sees his match come to an end here as the striker is replaced by Florian Niederlechner.
64'
LIFTED OVER! Relentless pressure from Dortmund but still no reward for their efforts! The ball pings to Philipp in the area, but he blasts an effort over from 10 yards! Wouldn't he love to break his old club's resistence here...
62'
STAT: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal against Hertha Berlin means he has netted in eight consecutive competitive games spanning multiple seasons – his best scoring streak for Dortmund. He has scored six competitive goals this term – a league high (same as Robert Lewandowski).
60'
Dortmund do have attacking options to draw upon from the bench, but being forced into two first-half changes as a result of injury really puts Bosz in a difficult position. Does he risk making a third this early and then potentially finding himself in trouble should they suffer another? That would level the playing field, exactly what they don't want.
58'
Soyuncu has been a stalwart at the back for Freiburg, putting in another stunning challenge here to thwart a threatening Dortmund attack. Surely the opening Dortmund crave will come soon, but we are nearly at the hour mark.
56'
DELICIOUS DELIVERY! Dortmund are just starting to look a more consistent threat in attack as they find more space on those flanks. Another excellent ball in, this one from Castro, is bent in behind the defence, but neither Aubameyang nor Zagadou can turn it in at the far post.
54'
OVER! Aubameyang has had little service thus far with the defence so deep and compact. Here he does well to rise and meet a cross at the far post, but he's unable to get the desired power or accuracy on his header as he lifts an effort harmlessly over the bar.
52'
STAT: Freiburg had just 14 shots over the first two matchdays – a league low. Streich’s men are one of three sides yet to have a clear-cut chance (same as BSC and M05).
50'
Freiburg have everyone behind the ball and back in defence, which is making it awfully difficult on Dortmund to break them down. You have to wonder when fatigue will start to set in for the hosts, however. It's not an easy task to see so little of the ball and keep your oponents out while a man down.
48'
OUTSTANDING SAVE! Dortmund showing terrific intent coming out of the break. Pulisic produces a stunning first touch to bring down a little dink over the top and looks to power a shot in under the bar, but Schwolow reacts brilliantly to parry over the bar!
46'
Here we go agian!
45' +5
HALF-TIME: FREIBURG 0-0 DORTMUND.
45' +4
Frantz has helped out a lot since coming on, winning the ball back on a few occasions in his five minutes on the pitch. Freiburg continue to escape, but they have a long way to go still.
45' +2
All hands on deck for Freiburg, who have a hint of desperation at the back as they look to get this match into the break scoreless. Every time they win the ball back they're just booting it up the pitch where there's a yellow shirt waiting to restart Dortmund in attack.
45'
As a result of the lengthy stoppages for the Bartra and Schmelzer injuries, there will be five minutes added on at the end of this first half.
43'
M. Frantz enters the game and replaces V. Sierro.
Sierro is replaced by Mike Frantz, who comes on to help organise and calm things down for Freiburg.
41'
There's a shot! It's a relatively straightforward save for Schwolow, despite the deflection, as he parries Sahin's effort with ease. It's going to be a long second half for the hosts though if they have to continue to absorb all this pressure.
39'
Well, full credit to Freiburg here. They've played deep in their end since the red card, but Dortmund have yet to negotiate a chance since the sending off. Freiburg heads are first to every ball in the air, and they're cutting out these throughballs nicely. Dortmund are bossing possession, but being made to play on the periphery.
37'
The match is being played entirely in the Freiburg end now and you can sense the opener coming. This crowd, which was once booming, has silenced significantly. The majority of the noise now is coming from the travelling supporters, as their side hunt down the first goal before the interval.
35'
All this possession for Dortmund, should it continue, will likely see them break down the 10 men of Freiburg sooner than later. The hosts had been defending very well, but with Dormund keeping their back line so high up and allowing everyone to contribute in attack, that red card will prove even more costly.
33'
STAT: Dortmund’s last 12 league defeats have come on their travels. However, if they win in Freiburg, they will have recorded back-to-back away victories for the first time since February/March 2016 (3 in a row back then).
31'
D. Zagadou enters the game and replaces M. Schmelzer.
Schmelzer is carried off on a stretcher, a terrible sight to see as Dortmund are forced into their second first-half substitution, as Dan-Axel Zagadou comes on to play full-back.
29'
Y. Ravet goes off after a red card!
An overdue first yellow card of the match issued to Freiburg, and it's Ravet who goes into the book for a late and lazy foul on Schmelzer, who remains down here after appearing to tweak his ankle. That's a dangerous one for Ravet, who could well have been sent off.
The referee goes over to consult with the video assistant review and upon final decision, he shows Ravet a straight red card! It's a great decision by the referee, in fairness, and Ravet, making his debut after arriving from Young Boys, doesn't last 30 minutes!
26'
Two decent chances for Freiburg as they show some fight back here. A decent spell in possession leads to a shooting chance for Kleindienst, but he sends his half-volley well over the bar, before Sierro sees a shot blocked atop the penalty area just moments later.
24'
For all of Dortmund's possession, Freiburg have done an excellent job of limiting the visitors' looks in attack. The hosts have organised themselves quite well to make the game really narrow and not let Dortmund exploit those flanks where they boast so much pace.
22'
Frustration is starting to build for Freiburg with Dortmund now possing possession. Kubeler goes hard into the back of his former team-mate Philipp, a real nasty tackle no matter how you look at it, but escapes with a warning. That's a painful one for the ex-Freiburg winger who needs some treatment here.
20'
STAT: Christian Streich has lost all nine of his Bundesliga games against Dortmund as a head coach – no other boss has faced a side as many times without picking up a single point.
18'
Ö. Toprak enters the game and replaces Marc Bartra.
Omer Toprak, who made his Dortmund debut replacing the injured Sokratis earlier in the season, replaces the injured Bartra here with less than 20 minutes played.
17'
A blow here for Dortmund as Marc Bartra succumbs to an injury and looks like he will have to give way here. The timing couldn't be worse, either, with their Champions League opener against Tottenham looming on Wednesday.
15'
Dortmund are playing with a really high back-line as they try to keep the pressure on Freiburg and pin them back in their end, but it's inviting the hosts to play these long balls over the top for the likes of their pacey attackers to chase. It's certainly something worth keeping an eye on - high risk, high reward.
13'
This match has made for some lovely viewing in the opening stages. Dortmund are really coming into their own on the ball, as one might expect, while Freiburg are opening up and breaking in numbers whenever the chance arises.
11'
STAT: Freiburg are unbeaten in five home games spanning multiple seasons (W3 D2) – their last defeat at the Schwarzwald-Stadion came on the 1st April, when they were beaten 5-2 by Werder Bremen.
9'
Dortmund negotiate their first opening of the match as they build with great intent deep in the Freiburg half. Aubameyang gets through on the left and pulls it back for Gotze, but the midfielder's first-time effort is blocked from 10 yards!
7'
HAS TO BE BETTER! Lovely counter-attacking football from Freiburg as they carve through the Dortmund defence like a hot knife through butter. Kleindienst is played clean through on goal, but he shoots straight at Burki! You expected the back of the net to buldge there.
5'
This is of course a big day for Dortmund winger Maximilian Philipp, who arrived at the Signal Iduna Park this summer from Freiburg. The attacker returns to his old home today for the first time and will have plenty of eyes on him throughout the match.
3'
High tempo to start the match here, with Freiburg really showing great energy as they press off the ball. Dortmund have enjoyed the bulk of possession, but they have struggled to cope with the fervent pressing of the hosts.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Freiburg in red as they get us underway, attacking left to right, with Dortmund in yellow.
Hello and welcome to the Schwarzwald-Stadion for live coverage of this Bundesliga match as Freiburg host Borussia Dortmund!
Peter Bosz’s Dortmund enter the weekend atop the Bundesliga table, having opened the campaign with 3-0 and 2-0 victories over Wolfsburg and Hertha Berlin, respectively, showing no signs of missing €105 million Barcelona signing Ousmane Dembele.
Dortmund’s start is even more impressive when you consider the absences of Marco Reus, Andre Schurrle and Raphael Guerreiro. Others have stepped up in their absence, and considering their form, they will fancy their chances of making it three wins from three this afternoon.
Freiburg are still in search of their first win of the season, coming into today’s match off the back of a heavy 4-1 defeat at RB Leipzig – though the two-week international break will have helped Christian Streich prepare his side for high-flying Dortmund.
The visitors have yet to concede in the league this campaign, not a good sign for Freiburg's sputtering attack thus far, which has found the back of the net just once in their opening two matches - they will need to open things up a bit today.
Christian Streich makes a whopping six changes to his side following their 4-1 battering at the hands of RB Leipzig. Lukas Kubeler, Caglar Soyuncu, Yoric Ravet, Amir Abrashi, Vincent Sierro and Tim Kleindienst are brought into the side, replacing Julian Schuster, Marc-Oliver Kempf, Pascal Stenzel, Nicolas Hofler, Mike Frantz and Florian Niederlechner.
Peter Bosz makes just one change to the Dortmund side from their win over Hertha, as Marcel Schmelzer comes into the side at left-back at the expense of Dan-Axel Zagadou.
Borussia Dortmund have been unable to solve this stubborn Freiburg defence, but that's not what's grabbing the headlines. Yoric Ravet has been sent off in his debut for the hosts, giving them their work cut out for them to try and get something from this match against a Dortmund side who have dominated through 45 minutes, though they've lost both Marc Bartra and Marcel Schmelzer to injury.
That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
A defensive masterclass from the 10 men of Freiburg, who went down a man inside of 30 minutes following Yoric Ravet's sending off, as they keep Dortmund out despite the visitors enjoying 80 per cent possession, as these two sides play out to a goalless draw for the first time in their head-to-head history.
