BERMEJO HITS THE POST! The 35-year-old goes within inches of making it 3-0 as he holds off the challenge of Coentrao inside the box before thumping a shot against the woodwork. With that, the referee blows his final whistle.
90' +2
It looks like Celta are going to celebrate their 90th anniversary with a win and a clean sheet. Their fairytale season under Luis Enrique continues.
90' +1
Nolito looks to inflict more misery on the Real Madrid defence as he cuts in dangerously from the left. However, he cannot find the far corner with his placed shot as Nacho makes a solid block.
90'
GREAT DOUBLE SAVE FROM DIEGO LOPEZ! The Real Madrid goalkeeper produces a solid stop to deny David Lopez's stinging drive from the edge of the box before then getting up quickly to deny Jonny's rebound. Excellent goalkeeping.
89'
Willian Jose looks to score on his La Liga debut for Real Madrid but the Brazilian's curling shot from the edge of the box lacks pace and is easily saved by the impressive Sergio Alvarez.
87'
Real Madrid have really struggled in the absence of Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema today and Nacho sums up their performance by sending a cross straight out of play.
85'
Celta are pushing forward themselves however but Nolito cannot cap his promising display with a goal as he just fails to get on the end of Madinda's teasing cross. Real Madrid have five minutes remaining to stage a dramatic late comeback.
83'
ILLARRAMENDI DENIED! Real Madrid are frantically searching for a late comeback but Sergio Alvarez again denies them when he blocks Illarramendi's shot with his legs. Remember that the last time that Real Madrid failed to score on their league travels was 14 months ago.
82'
Isco produces a splendid piece of skill to spin away from two Celta midfielders before teeing up Marcelo on the left. The Brazilian seems to get caught in two minds however and his cross-cum-shot goes wastefully past the post.
80'
CHANCE FOR WILLIAN JOSE! It just will not go in for Real Madrid today and another great chance goes begging for the visitors when Jose powers a header over the crossbar from Coentrao's accurate cross. The young Brazilian should have hit the target there.

Sergio Ramos is no stranger to a yellow card and he goes into the book, along with Cabral, after the pair get into a heated confrontation.

Real Madrid are beginning to show signs of frustration now and Illarramendi goes into the referee's notebook for a cynical trip on David Lopez.

Luis Enrique also decides to make his last substitution as Gabon midfielder Levy Madinda replaces Rafinha.

Carlo Ancelotti decides to make his final change and it is a surprising one as Willian Jose replaces Casemiro. He clearly does not know what is going on elsewhere.
67'
CHANCE FOR REAL MADRID! Carlo Ancelotti's side come forward desperately in search of the equaliser but Modric is denied at the near post by Sergio Alvarez before Illarramendi blazes wildly over from the edge of the box.
66'
Mario Bermejo enters the game and replaces Charles.
Charles will not have the opportunity to score a hat trick today as he is replaced by veteran striker Mario Bermejo. The Brazilian receives a standing ovation as he departs.

There is huge news coming out of the Vicente Calderon where Malaga have taken the lead against Atletico. Another dramatic twist in the La Liga title race.
63'
Charles has scored a goal for Celta Vigo!
ISCO GOES CLOSE! Marcelo has been terrific from left-back in this second half and his deep cross to the back post is met on the volley by Isco, forcing Sergio Alvarez into a brilliant save.
CHARLES MAKES IT 2-0! What is Alonso thinking? It's another error at the back for Real Madrid as Alonso's sloppy backpass is intercepted by Charles and he duly rounds Lopez before tapping into the empty net. Real Madrid's title hopes are hanging by a thread.
62'
Elsewhere in the La Liga title race, it remains Elche 0-0 Barcelona and Atletico 0-0 Malaga. Los Blancos will be right back in contention if they can turn this scoreline around.
61'
One area where Celta have looked vulnerable is from set-pieces and they again survive a dangerous Real Madrid attack as Ramos heads over from a corner.
59'
Celta seem to have weathered the Real Madrid storm and they look comfortable at the moment. They have not beaten Los Blancos here in their previous six league meetings.
57'
Álex López enters the game and replaces A. Fernández.
A flurry of substitutions here as Coentrao and Illarramendi replace Arbeloa and Khedira for Real Madrid while Fernandez is stretchered off for Celta, with Alex Lopez coming on.
56'
Fábio Coentrão enters the game and replaces Arbeloa.
Illarramendi enters the game and replaces S. Khedira.
55'
Diego Lopez is furious with Charles after the Brazilian flings himself to the ground inside the box and tries to con the referee into giving a penalty. The Celta striker can consider himself fortunate not to have been booked there.
53'
WHAT A CHANCE FOR CELTA! With Real Madrid throwing bodies forward, Celta have a chance to take advantage on the break. Orellana has Nolito to his left and only Ramos in front of him but somehow passes the ball straight to the Spanish defender. What a waste!

GREAT SAVE FROM SERGIO ALVAREZ! The Celta goalkeeper is determined to keep a second consecutive clean sheet and he dives excellently to his right to keep out Morata's stinging drive. Real Madrid are getting closer.

REAL MADRID GO CLOSE! Los Blancos threaten at the beginning of the second half as Celta fail to deal with Modric's corner from the right. Alonso and Khedira both scuff their efforts before Ramos' low drive is brilliantly blocked by Krohn-Dehli.
46'
The two teams re-emerge from the tunnel for the second half, unchanged, and Celta get the ball rolling again.
44'
Could that goal be the one that ends Real Madrid's La Liga title hopes? Ramos proved the hero against Bayern Munich but there is no excuse for his actions there. Awful defending from the Spain international.
43'
Charles has scored a goal for Celta Vigo!
CHARLES GIVES CELTA THE LEAD! It's a horror show at the back for Real Madrid as Charles dispossesses Ramos on the edge of his own box. The Brazilian still has plenty to do and he rounds Diego Lopez brilliantly before firing the ball high into the net from a narrow angle.
41'
Real Madrid are enjoying their best spell of the first half but they continue to lack that danger and pace in wide areas. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bale introduced from the bench after the break.

31'
Even without the BBC, you would expect Real Madrid to find the back of the net today. You have to go back 14 months to find the last time that Los Blancos failed to score on their league travels.
29'
CHANCE FOR CELTA! Nolito is causing Real Madrid problems down the left and he chips the ball into the middle for the unmarked Charles to meet. However, the Brazilian cannot get his header on target and sends it wide of the post. Where was the marking?
28'
Modric is looking the most likely to make something happen for Real Madrid and he threads another neat pass beyond the Celta defence for Morata to chase. The 21-year-old looks to beat Sergio Alvarez at the near post but his shot is well palmed away by the Celta goalkeeper.
27'
Celta threaten when Rafinha and Fernandez combine neatly to set up Nolito on the left. The Celta attacker looks to bend a shot into the far corner but it is comfortably held by Diego Lopez. It would not have counted however as Nolito had strayed marginally offside.
25'
Charles is extremely fortunate not to receive a booking after he catches Casemiro on the achilles with a nasty challenge.
23'
It's good to see Khedira back in action after his long injury layoff and he sets up a chance for the visitors by crossing the ball in from the right. Cabral heads his delivery to the edge of the box but Isco fires wildly over the bar.
21'
On-loan Barcelona midfielder Rafinha will be particularly determined to end Real Madrid's title challenge today but he cannot produce the opening goal on this occasion as his low shot from the edge of the box is comfortably saved by Diego Lopez.
19'
It's been a very disjointed 19 minutes here with both sides struggling to get into their rhythm. Real Madrid are lacking movement and urgency in wide areas and they are really suffering from the absence of Ronaldo and Di Maria.
17'
Fabián Orellana gets yellow.
Orellana picks up the first booking of the game following a mistimed challenge on Ramos.
Modric has enjoyed a terrific season for Real Madrid and he plays a neat pass down the line for Morata to chase. The young Spanish striker cuts the ball back instinctively to the edge of the box but there is no orange shirt to meet it. Isco has been anonymous so far.
15'
We have played 15 minutes at the Estadio da Bailados and neither goalkeeper has been seriously tested so far. It remains 0-0 between Elche-Barcelona and Atletico-Malaga.
13'
Celta have taken 30 points from their last 19 league matches. If Celta can hold onto Luis Enrique and their first-team stars, they could be potential European candidates next season. It's been a terrific turnaround from the former Barcelona player and it's not surprising to see Enrique linked with a move back to the Camp Nou.
11'
Luis Enrique's side have responded well to that bright Madrid start and it is the hosts who enjoy a sustained spell of possession in the midfield. Rafinha lifts a clever pass over the defence for Charles but his lobbed effort bounces wide of the target.
9'
Celta are looking dangerous when they come forward but Fernandez spurns a good chance to take advantage on the counter attack when his powerful run is brilliantly halted by Ramos. That was a splendid tackle by the Real Madrid captain.
7'
CHANCE FOR CELTA! Krohn-Dehli bursts forward from deep to set up Nolito on the left wing. The Celta No.10 looks to cut inside and bend a shot into the far corner but Modric reads his intentions well and deflects the ball behind for a corner.
6'
Real Madrid continue to pile on the pressure early on but Morata cannot give Carlo Ancelotti's side the advantage as his header is comfortably held by Sergio Alvarez following Alonso's teasing cross. The young Spanish striker has a big chance to impress in the absence of Benzema today.
4'
Despite a flurry of changes to the Real Madrid lineup, the visitors have started brightly here and enjoy a sustained spell of possession early on. Jonny's mistake gifts Marcelo a chance at the back post but his shot is deflected narrowly wide of the target.
2'
Real Madrid have a chance to take the lead when Morata wins a corner. However, former Barcelona defender Fontas rises highest to clear Isco's delivery.
1'
The referee blows his whistle and Real Madrid, in their luminous orange jerseys, get the game underway. Can they keep the pressure on at the top of the league?
As for Celta Vigo, they have enjoyed a brilliant campaign and Luis Enrique's side sit a comfortable tenth position in the La Liga table after three consecutive wins. Only 12 months ago, Celta were in the middle of a frantic relegation scrap where they managed to survive on a desperate last day. Thankfully, their fans will not have to experience those same nervous and nailbiting emotions this time around.
Hello and welcome to this live La Liga commentary where Real Madrid look to boost their fading title challenge with a tricky trip to Celta Vigo. Carlo Ancelotti's side are now hoping for a miracle in their quest to lift the Spanish title after they dropped two crucial points at Real Valladolid last time out to fall four points off fierce rivals Atletico. Los Blancos will have to do it the hard way this evening as Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are both sidelined through injury.
CELTA TEAM NEWS: Luis Enrique makes two changes to the side which beat Osasuna 2-0 last time out with Charles and on-loan Barcelona midfielder Rafinha replacing Borja Oubina and Mario Bermejo. Sergio Alvarez retains his place between the sticks.
REAL MADRID TEAM NEWS: With a 10th Champions League triumph potentially lurking on the horizon, Carlo Ancelotti decides not to risk Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale. It's an experimental lineup from Los Blancos as Alvaro Morata leads the line for the first time in the league this season while Sami Khedira makes his first start since November. Marcelo, Alvaro Arbeloa, Casemiro and Diego Lopez also come in to the starting XI.
REAL MADRID (4-3-2-1): Diego Lopez; Arbeloa, Nacho, Ramos, Marcelo; Casemiro, Khedira, Alonso; Modric, Isco; Morata.
A Cristiano Ronaldo double and Karim Benzema strike gave Real Madrid all three points in a 3-0 win when these two sides met at the Santiago Bernabeu back in January.
Real Madrid have a poor record at the Estadio de Balaidos and have lost 22 of the 47 La Liga meetings on this ground, winning just 15. Can Luis Enrique's side end Real Madrid's hopes and leave Atletico and Barcelona to battle it out for the Spanish title? I'll be providing score updates from Elche vs. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid vs. Malaga. Kick-off is five minutes away.
The two teams emerge from the tunnel to a good reception from both sets of fans. Captains Augusto Fernandez and Sergio Ramos begin the handshakes between the respective sides.
There is a minute's silence before kick-off to pay tribute to the five futsal players who sadly lost their lives in a traffic incident.
HT: Celta 1-0 Real Madrid. Charles' well-taken goal is the difference at the break after a 45 minutes which lacked excitement and quality. Carlo Ancelotti made numerous changes to his starting lineup and without the likes of Bale, Ronaldo and Di Maria, Los Blancos have really struggled to test the Celta defence. Real Madrid have just 45 minutes remaining to salvage their title ambitions.
FT: Celta 2-0 Real Madrid. Charles' double gives Celta a fourth consecutive win to end Los Blancos' title hopes. Carlo Ancelotti's side struggled in the absence of Ronaldo, Bale, Di Maria and Benzema although were masters of their own downfall courtesy of two horrendous errors from Sergio Ramos and Xabi Alonso.
With Atletico Madrid and Barcelona both drawing, the La Liga title race goes down to the final game between the two sides at the Camp Nou next weekend. However, Real Madrid will now switch their attentions to securing La Decima after their fifth league defeat of the season today rules them out of contention for the Spanish title.
Celta aim to end their season with a fifth consecutive win when they travel to Valencia next weekend while Real Madrid take on Espanyol. Thanks for joining me on this live La Liga commentary. Until next time, goodbye.
