CLOSE! A free kick taken by Pjanic finds the head of Milan Djuric, whose header smashes off the crossbar! It looks like it is Ireland's night!
90' +1
J. O'Shea enters the game and replaces G. Whelan.
Three minutes of injury time indicated by the fourth official.
90'
Walters has a snapshot which Begovic is relieved to see fly over, as John O'Shea comes on for Glenn Whelan to a rapturous reception from the Aviva Stadium crowd.
89'
Oh, still not over. Pjanic hoists over another Bosnian free kick, but Keogh and Clark neutralise the danger and Randolph clutches the dropping ball to his chest gratefully.
88'
A free kick for Bosnia-Herzegovina is taken quickly by Muhamed Besic, but it's too deep and long and as the ball trundles over the goal line, it's cheered like a goal by the home supporters.
87'
After an almighty mess in the Irish penalty area, Zukanovic gets a toe on it, but it lacks power and Randolph can get down to save comfortably.
86'
Bosnia-Herzegovina can't make anything out of the corner but retain possession now, trying to spread the ball out wide, trying to force their way into the tie. A nice passage of play sees them win another corner as Clarke takes the safety first option.
85'
Shane Long was actually booked for the foul on Zukanovic and Bosnia win a corner with 5 minutes to go.
83'
E. Zukanović gets yellow.
The Aviva Stadium is rocking to the strains of Fields of Athenry, as the home supporters start to turn their minds towards booking their tickets for France. Shane Long appeared to be fouled in the right corner, but no foul given, but Milan Djuric can't get the better of Richard Keogh and Ireland break forward but concede a free kick as Ervin Zukanovic goes down under a Shane Long free kick.
Minute
Description
80'
V. Ibišević enters the game and replaces S. Lulić.
79'
Bosnia make a change as Vedad Ibisevic comes on for Senad Lulic. It's a tall order though for the Hertha Berlin striker to conjure up the two goals that will stop Ireland from claiming one of the last three spots for France 2016.
78'
Ireland still must remain vigilant as Bosnia come forward and win a corner. A goal for the Balkan side would still leave the door ajar for them for the plane to France, but Randolph, who has been excellent for the Irish over both legs, comes out to collect the loose ball like a bear poaching a salmon.
76'
Randolph is belatedly called into action as the Bosnians throw Dzeko forward. Ireland have 14 minutes to defend a two goal cushion and the Dublin crowd will sing their team home.
74'
The Aviva is rocking now, and a lovely ball down the right from Coleman sees Shane Long get in behind Kolasinec, but Begovic is out to narrow the angles and force the Southampton man to pull his shot wide.
71'
That goal was gold dust for Ireland. Spahic really should have seen red for his high tackle on Walters, but Brady and Walters exacted maximum revenge. Brady whipped in a superb ball from the left, Vranjes facing goal could only hoist his clearance into the air, the onrushing Walters collected the loose ball on his chest and coolly picked his spot past Begovic! It's 3-1 on aggregate to Ireland and a mountain of Balkan proportions for Bazdarevic's Bosnia to climb now!
70'
J. Walters has scored a goal for Republic of Ireland!
GOAL! Republic of Ireland 2-0 Bosnia-Herzegovina! Jonathan Walters, a wonderful finish after Brady's free kick was only half cleared by Vranjes!
69'
M. Đurić enters the game and replaces H. Medunjanin.
Spahic again in trouble! A high tackle on Walters!
68'
Free kick for Bosnia taken by Medunjanin, but Clark gets a vital header to it. Bosnia make a change as it's Medunjanin himself who's replaced by Milan Djuric.
66'
The corner is whipped in and is only half-cleared by the Bosnian defence. It breaks free to Hendrick, lurking with intent on the edge of the area, but his shot flies wide, without taking a deflection off an opposition player, much to his visible disgust.
65'
Bosnia have bossed this half in terms of possession, but lack the cutting edge needed to really trouble Randolph. A great long ball by Hendrick gives McClean to opportunity to run onto it and win Ireland's first corner of the second half.
62'
A free kick for Ireland gives some temporary respite, but they must retain the ball better if they wish to see out this tie. The replacements McClean and Long should have given the home side some added impetus, but instead it's the Bosnian wide man Visca who's causing all sorts of problems down the left side for the Irish.
59'
J. McClean gets yellow.
Vranjes' free kick is played low and finds Dzeko but Coleman makes the block. It's all Bosnia now in terms of possession, as the home side are just content with lifting the siege with diagonal long balls out of the back.
58'
However, the Norwich midfielder's distribution from set piece has been very average this evening, and he opts to drill it low and hard into the Bosnian wall. The visitors break and McLean gives away a free kick against Vranjes and also receives a yellow card for his troubles.
57'
Free kick for Ireland, and a great chance for Brady...
56'
Great defensive play by Brady, who just nudges Visca off the ball and shepherds it out for a goal kick.
55'
S. Long enters the game and replaces D. Murphy.
Ireland make two substitutions now. Shane Long replaces Daryl Murphy upfront, while Hoolahan makes way for West Bromwich Albion winger James McClean.
54'
J. McClean enters the game and replaces W. Hoolahan.
CLOSE! A great run down the right by Ognjen Vranjes is cleared desperately by Keogh.
53'
Great play by Brady as he wins a crunching challenge against Visca, however his first time ball into the box is high, wide and not very handsome for a disconsolate Walters.
51'
Ireland seem to be defending just outside the edge of their penalty area, inviting the Bosnians onto them. In the end, Lulic puts too much weight on an attempted through ball and the home side can relieve the siege.
50'
Medunjanin's free kick is cleared by Clark for a corner to Bosnia, which Ireland clear to safety.
49'
Foul given against Hendrick against Visca, who seemed to go down under very minimal contact. A good set piece opportunity now for the visitors.
48'
Dzeko plays in Haris Medunjanin, who lets fly from just outside the area, but the shot lacks direction and Randolph can get his body behind it.
47'
Brady clears under pressure from Visca as the Bosnians start the second half confidently.
46'
M. Bešić enters the game and replaces E. Cocalić.
Referee Bjorn Kuipers blows the whistle to start the second half. Bosnia make a change as Everton Muhamed Besic comes on to replace Edin Cocalic.
45' +1
And there goes the half-time whistle as the half ends with the home side on the front foot.
45'
Glenn Whelan gives away a free kick on the edge of the Bosnian area as the fourth official indicates one minutes of additional time.
44'
But Brady's delivery leaves a lot to be desired as the Norwich City man drives it straight into the Bosnian wall. Hoolahan retrieves and plays a clever ball into the area, but Walters is just a second behind the cross.
43'
Another foul conceded by Spahic gives Ireland a free kick opportunity some 25 yards out from Begovic's goal.
40'
A neat passage of play from the visitors ends with Randolph calmly collecting the ball. Ireland break through Hendrick down the left and his cross is only just plucked off the head of the onrushing Murphy by Begovic.
39'
Visca beginning to look dangerous again. A deep cross from him is headed out by Keogh. Another cross from the left causes some palpitations in the Irish defence, as Walters is forced to hack the ball clear facing the goal line.
37'
Bosnia-Herzegovina starting to control the midfield area now as Spahic links up with his midfield players, but so far they have not converted any of their possession into the hard currency of clear-cut chances.
35'
Wes Hoolahan nearly gets rewarded as he chases down and intercepts Begovic's kick-out, but is penalised for handball.
34'
CLOSE! Lovely piece of play from Miralam Pjanic, who picks up the ball in midfield, turns and delivers a gorgeous diagonal pass to Dzeko, who chests it down and blasts it over Randolph's goal.
32'
Daryl Murphy already dropping deep to help out the midfield, as Bosnia-Herzegovina put some passes together in midfield. Clark, under pressure, sends the ball back to Randolph and half-hearted Bosnian protests for a back pass fall on deaf Dutch ears.
29'
Bosnia-Herzegovina need to calm down now and try and play their way back into the tie. With two of their players on a yellow card, the Balkan side can ill afford any more bouts of indiscipline.
27'
It's reached boiling point in the Aviva! Spahic again involved as he brings down Hoolahan, but the Hamburg man escapes this time. It was a good spot by the referee for the handball by Lulic for the penalty, following great work and a cross from Daryl Murphy.
25'
The Bosnians are incredibly unhappy with referee Kuipers, and the danger for Ireland is that they'll use that anger as a motivation. Edin Dzeko turns, shoots and has Randolph scrambling to his right as the ball squirms just wide.
24'
Penalty goal scored by J. Walters for Republic of Ireland!
Jonathan Walters stands ready to take the penalty...
GOAL! Republic of Ireland 1-0 Bosnia-Herzegovina, it's 2-1 to the Irish on aggregate, as Walters calmly places the ball to the right of Asmir Begovic!
23'
S. Lulić gets yellow.
22'
PENALTY! Penalty awarded to Ireland as Lulic commits a handball!
20'
E. Spahić gets yellow.
Ervin Zukanovic starting to see more of the ball, as the Sampdoria defender carries it forward but his run is blocked. A great run by Hendrick is brought to a crashing end by Emir Spahic and the Hamburg defender receives the game's first yellow card.
Another free kick for Ireland just outside the Bosnian area, again Spahic the culprit, who must be careful now.
17'
A free kick for Ireland is delivered deep into the Bosnia-Herzegovina penalty area, and Hendrick is just a little too far behind the knock down as his first time shot flashes well wide of Begovic's goal.
15'
Lovely little interchange between Robbie Brady and Jeff Hendrick sees the latter's cross force Bosnia into conceding Ireland's second corner. However, Brady's deliverance lacks width and is easily cleared by Emir Spahic.
14'
Great play by Edin Visca as he links up with Miralam Pjanic, who slaloms into the Irish penalty area and Clark is forced to concede the corner, however McCarthy gets a vital header and the danger is cleared. Bosnia starting to string some passes together with purpose now.
11'
What is encouraging for the home side is that Wes Hoolahan is already seeing more of the ball in these opening 12 minutes than he saw in pretty much most of the 90 which were played in Zenica, and the Norwich City playmaker is already looking to inject some pace into the Irish attack.
9'
Great end-to-end action, as McCarthy won a challenge with Senad Lulic, and launches a counterattack which ends up being put behind by Begovic for the game's first corner. Unfortunately, from an Irish perspective, the referee gets in the way of the return pass to Jonathan Walters.
7'
Lulic hoists a hopeful ball forward for the visitors, but it's meat and drink for the West Ham goalkeeper Darren Randolph, who looked so assured on Friday night.
5'
Ciaran Clark and Richard Keogh exchange passes before the latter aims a long ball towards Daryl Murphy, but it's overcooked and Bosnia can clear.
3'
First little duel between Robbie Brady and Edin Visca down the Irish left, which the Norwich City man wins for Ireland, shepherding the ball into touch.
2'
A free kick is awarded to Ireland after a foul on Darryl Murphy but it's charged down by Kolasinec and the Irish have to settle for a throw-in.
1'
A minute's silence is observed for the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday night.
And referee Kuipers blows his whistle and we are underway in Dublin!
An early spell of possession for Bosnia-Herzegovina is brought to an end as Lulic puts the ball into touch.
Good evening and welcome to Goal's live commentary on the European Championship 2016 play-off qualifier between the Republic of Ireland and Bosnia-Herzegovina! This is Michael Hannan and I'll bringing you live updates on the match as the two nations battle it out for one of the final three slots remaining in the race to France 2016. I'll have the line-ups for you shortly!
Mehmed Bazdarevic's Bosnia-Herzegovina make three changes from Friday's match, with Sead Kolasinac coming in for Mensur Mujzda, Haris Medunjanin coming in for Toni Sunjic and Ognjen Vranjes stepping in for forward Vedad Ibisevic. They line out as follows:Amir Begovic; Sead Kolasinac, Emir Spahic, Ervin Zukanovic, Haris Medunjanin; Ognjen Vranjes, Miralam Pjanic, Edin Visca, Edin Cocalic, Senad Lulic; Edin Dzeko (C).
On the bench tonight for Ireland are:David Forde, Stephen Henderson, Marc Wilson, John O'Shea, Cyrus Christie, Stephen Ward, Aiden McGeady, James McClean, Darren Gibson, Harry Arter, Shane Long and Robbie Keane. So no start for Shane Long, who Martin O'Neill had said that he would give until "a minute and a half" before kick off to prove his fitness. Darryl Murphy is entrusted to lead the line for the Irish, with John O'Shea also benched as O'Neill entrusts the centre-back pairing of Richard Keogh and Ciaran Clark to continue their good work from Friday.
Bosnia-Herzegovina can call on the following reserves, and may need to if it finishes 1-1 after normal time and extra time is needed:Jasmin Buric, Ibrahim Sehic, Ermin Bisakcic, Toni Sunjic, I. Hajrovic, Anel Hadzic, Sejad Salihovic, Vedad Ibisevic, Ar. Hodzic, Milan Djuric.
It's a sell-out crowd tonight at Dublin's Aviva Stadium as Ireland and Bosnia-Herzegovina attempt to follow in the footsteps of Hungary in their 3-1 aggregate play-off victory against Norway last night in Budapest. Nerves already running high as Martin O'Neill delivers a fiesty interview on RTE, in which he denies that his Ireland side will play defensively. A 0-0 draw will of course suffice to see the Irish seal their second consecutive qualification for the European Championship, but they will be wary of the danger of this spiritied Bosnian side. Bazdarevic has brought his team back from the brink with four wins out of their last five qualifiers after an opening day 2-1 home defeat to Cyprus.
The teams are out on the pitch now as the Irish President Michael D. Higgins greets both sets of players. Tonight's proceedings will be officiated by Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers.
The national anthem of Bosnia-Herzegovina is played as the knot of away supporters belt it out with gusto.
And now Amhran na bhFiann is belted out by the majority of the Aviva Stadium. Huge tension in Dublin 4 as the home side look to qualify for their third European Championship campaign, while Bosnia-Herzegovina are searching for their maiden qualification in the tournament. Something of a surprise sprung by Martin O'Neill, as Friday's Irish goalscorer Robbie Brady is slotted back to the left-back position.
Martin O'Neill's Republic of Ireland make one change from the side that battled to a 1-1 away draw in the first leg in Zenica, as Jonathan Walters replaces Stephen Ward, with Robbie Brady dropping back to left-back:They will line up as follows:Darren Randolph; Robbie Brady, Richard Keogh, Ciaran Clark, Seamus Coleman; James McCarthy, Glenn Whelan (C), Jonathan Walters, Wes Hoolahan, Jeff Hendrick; Daryl Murphy.
HALF TIME: Republic of Ireland 1-0 Bosnia-Herzegovina (Republic of Ireland 2-1 up on aggregate). An absorbing first half as Jonathan Walters' penalty goal gives the home side the edge in this play-off. Both side have played with plenty of spirit, and Bosnia have shaded it in terms of possession, but Ireland's direct approach is causing consternation in the Bosnian defence and their coach Mehmed Bazdarevic might be thinking of a substitution there, with Spahic on the edge following his early booking. While there is little enough to separate the sides in terms of genuine chances created, Begovic has looked marginally the busier of the two goalkeepers. However, this tie is very much in the balance and the visitors may well be encouraged by Scotland's early second half equaliser in the June qualifier at this stadium.
Bosnia-Herzegovina will be glad for a chance to regroup, while Ireland will be happy to see Hoolahan putting his foot on the ball and controlling the tempo of their attacks, something he didn't get much of an opportunity to do on Friday as the ball flew over his head in the fog of Zenica. Martin O'Neill's side will be all too aware that a goal for the visitors could take the tie to extra-time, and mindful of Scotland's rapid fire equaliser in June, they will look to try and take control of the tie with a second goal. Perhaps Shane Long will get a chance late on to repeat his goalscoring heroics the last time Bosnia-Herzegovina came to Dublin for a friendly match in 2012?
The Ireland players are first out on to the pitch, followed by those of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
And there goes the final whistle, and the Aviva Stadium erupts as the Republic of Ireland book their place in France 2016 with a 2-0 victory on the night and a 3-1 win on aggregate. Martin O'Neill has steered the country to their second successive European Championship thanks to a double from Jonathan Walters! He really has become invaluable to this Irish side, who looked down and out after the 1-1 home draw against Scotland in June. Ultimately, Bosnia lacked the cutting edge to threaten Ireland, whose spirit throughout this campaign shone through tonight.
Robbie Brady and Jonathan Walters the architects of this Irish win, but a special mention must go the makeshift centre-back pairing of Richard Keogh & Ciaran Clark who remained obdurate and efficient in the face of constant Bosnian second half pressure.
Thanks for following our live commentary feed on Goal as the Republic of Ireland march on to the finals of France 2016 in front of a delirious Avivia Stadium! This is Michael Hannan is signing off and wishing you all a good night!
