So no Golden Boot for Aguero then, as Yaya Toure is on for him in the latest of cameos.
90'
Into stoppage time now and the final seconds of the Pellegrini era tick away. Clichy takes his sweet time on a throw-in, and it's telling that no player or official can be bothered to hurry him up.
88'
Little competitive interest left in this game to be fair, with City happy to play out the remaining minutes and take the point which would all but mathematically guarantee them fourth place.
86'
Arsenal will not be caught then. They've opened up a 3-0 lead against Aston Villa, so City's best finish at this point is fourth. Incidentally, Tottenham are also incredibly 5-1 down against Newcastle, meaning that they will end behind the Gunners in third.
84'
Trouble for Sagna, who limps to the sidelines in some discomfort. He missed the World Cup with a broken leg, and he would hate to sit out the Euros in his home country with another injury.
83'
B. Gomis enters the game and replaces J. Montero.
Montero has been replaced by Gomis late on.
82'
It also doesn't appear that Aguero will be getting the Golden Boot this season, unless something changes in the last eight minutes or so. He's looked decidedly off the pace with his finishing.
80'
It appears that City are starting to settle for the point here, which will be virtually enough for them, of course. To be fair to them, they've also limited Swansea to almost nothing in attack.
78'
You have to give credit to De Bruyne this afternoon. He's played a part in City's goal, and in almost every one of their creative moves so far. With David Silva out, he's taken on the playmaking burden excellently.
76'
Newcastle are 3-1 up against Tottenham and more crucially for City, Arsenal are still 1-0 ahead at home to Aston Villa. Remember, the only way that City can finish third is if they win and the Gunners lose.
Minute
Description
74'
L. Britton gets yellow.
Britton has been booked for a late tackle on De Bruyne.
72'
S. Nasri enters the game and replaces K. Ịheanachọ.
Iheanacho departs with the memory of that missed chance, and on comes Nasri.
SCOOPED OVER! That was a terrible end to a promising move, and so typical of City today. Iheanacho runs into a good position just outside the box, but lifts his effort badly off the mark.
70'
Only 20 minutes to go now. De Bruyne drops deep to combine with the full-backs to try to make something happen, but there's no cohesion in front of him to really open up Swansea.
68'
Hart reaches out to grab a Kingsley cross out of the air, but he can't spark a quick City attack with his subsequent distribution. The home fans can sense that perhaps their side can steal something.
67'
B. Sagna gets yellow.
Montero draws another foul, and this time it's on Sagna, who is booked for a late challenge.
66'
The pace of this game is reminiscent of City's Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid. They could badly use some more thrust in the way they approach the final stretch.
64'
Fernandinho lets loose after a decent move from De Bruyne and Iheanacho, but the Brazilian, like Aguero moments ago, completely miscues, dragging his shot harmlessly wide of the target.
62'
AGUERO WIDE! It's just not happening for the striker this afternoon. He's teed up in a great position near the penalty spot on the half-volley, but he scuffs it badly, and starts shaking his head even before it goes out of play.
60'
City have attempted 15 shots to Swansea's four, but have been edged in the possession statistics with only 48 per cent of the ball so far. Only the one effort on target for the hosts, but it has made all the difference.
58'
M. Barrow enters the game and replaces W. Routledge.
Modou Barrow is introduced for Routledge.
Barely anything of note happening at the moment, with City really struggling to connect their midfield with their attacking pair. Swansea may fancy their chances on the counter-attack the longer this goes on.
56'
There's some afters in the box involving Otamendi and some Swansea players as it appeared that the jostling for a corner got a little too hands on for someone's liking. The referee has to sort it out.
54'
Swansea are starting to apply a little more pressure again. City don't look too comfortable with the scoreline as it is. A draw is still enough for them, remember, barring a 20-or-so-goal swing in goal difference by the end of the United-Bournemouth game. Hey, this is the season for long odds, isn't it?
52'
IHEANACHO GETS STUCK! Navas is released down the right flank, and gets to the byline, before drilling a low cross that the keeper saves with his foot. However, it falls right at the striker, who appeared primed to convert, but can't get the ball out from under himself!
50'
City are out hunting for the second and the lead. They want to leave nothing to chance. As Swansea showed in the first half, a goal can come out of anywhere no matter how bad the performance.
48'
WIDE OF THE MARK! De Bruyne's passing has been spot on today, and he sets up Mangala for aheader with a peach of a ball, but the muscular centre-back can't direct it on target!
46'
Here we go again.
45' +1
A. Ayew has scored a goal for Swansea City!
IT'S IN! With the last kick of the half probably, Ayew has drawn the hosts level. The free-kick from the Ghanaian takes a deflection off the head of Fernando, which fools Hart!
45'
N. Otamendi gets yellow.
Otamendi joins Iheanacho in the book after he was fooled by a one-two between Ayew and Britton. He clatters into the latter, and leaves the referee with no choice but to fish out the yellow.
43'
Swansea 'execute' a free-kick that sums up their first half so far. Kingsley hangs a ball to the back post where Fernandez connects with a header, but it goes in the opposite direction of the goal.
41'
K. Ịheanachọ gets yellow.
A goal for Iheanacho and now a booking as well, as he goes in late on the back of a Swansea defender. The resulting set-piece is poor again from the hosts though, as Hart can gather easily.
39'
OFF THE MARK! De Bruyne makes an excellent pass to free Navas down the flank after a Swansea corner broke down. City have the numerical advantage on the break, but the Spaniard decides to go for it all on his own. He misses the target, the halted run of Aguero and an unbelievable 60-yard dash from De Bruyne to the far side of the goal.
37'
Ayew's cross is deflected behind by Mangala. Hart has had very little to do throughout this game. The resulting delivery is played to the other side, and the Swans win another corner kick.
35'
Despite Aguero's appearances to the contrary, you get the sense that City are only concerned with securing the right result here, and rightfully so. However, if they were to get another, then you could see their attack turning into a tee-up line for the Argentine to get numbers on the board.
33'
Period of pressure from the Swans as Kingsley swings a cross in which Montero attacks with a downwards header, but Ayer can't profit from that knock-down. Something for the home fans to get excited for at least.
31'
Swansea cough up possession, which allows Iheanacho a chance to snatch at a shot, which goes off target. City are starting to assume more dangerous shooting positions, but their radar has been well off.
29'
Aguero scampers down the left-hand side and then cuts infield. Iheanacho is trying to position himself in support, but his fellow forward decides to go for goal himself again, hitting the side netting.
27'
NORDFELDT SAVES! Aguero pounces on a low cross into the area and fires on goal, but the keeper is in position to deny him. A rueful, dimpled smile from the Argentine, who has one thing on his mind!
25'
City and Iheanacho really should have done better on that last attack. The young forward was put through at a slight angle, but still enough for him to have a first-time go. However, it appears that he's trying his hardest to get Aguero the Golden Boot, and he kills the momentum of the move to tee up the Argentine, who is crowded out.
23'
Iheanacho fizzes one speculative try well over the top, before De Bruyne angles another effort into the arms of the keeper. City haven't exactly gone from strength to strength since their opener.
21'
In other league news, Arsenal have taken a lead against Aston Villa, and Tottenham are also behind 1-0 to Newcastle. That means that the Gunners leapfrog Spurs into second, and therefore can't be caught by City. For now.
19'
Swansea have looked comfortable in possession since conceding, but the goalmouth action has generally been lacking since then. Hart misjudges a set-piece which causes some panic, but City recover.
17'
Careless from Swansea. Montero does well to cut inside and hold off the challenge of Sagna, but as he makes his way infield, he threads in Routledge, who was caught offside by the rest of the defence.
15'
SIDE NETTING! City are right back down the other end of the field, and Aguero gets a step on his man to open up shooting space, but he's at an angle and can only rustle the wrong side o the goal.
13'
The news of the United game being called off shouldn't affect City too much, as if they win or draw, the Red Devils' result will be irrelevant. However, should they be upset here then it would make for tense viewing whenever that fixture is rescheduled!
11'
GOAL RULED OUT! Swansea have the ball in the back of the net as Montero converts a header from very close range, but he appeared to barge into the back of Sagna to do so, and it was spotted by the officials.
9'
Dramatic news coming out of Old Trafford, as Manchester United's match against Bournemouth has been abandoned after the discovery of a suspicious package that initially forced a delay of kick-off!
7'
There was a moment of hesitation as the referee Mike Dean appeared to rule out the goal for an unexplained infraction, but he appeared to give it at the end. It was a perfectly legitimate goal.
5'
K. Ịheanachọ has scored a goal for Manchester City!
CITY HAVE SCORED! Aguero links with De Bruyne down the left, and is teed up for a finish from point-blank range, but it's saved by the keeper. However, he parries it right into the path of Iheanacho, who converts!
3'
Plenty of sunshine here over the Liberty Stadium, and the fans are in good spirits. It really would be the best possible ending for City if they could win here and Aguero could seal the top scorer award.
1'
And we're off!
Hello and welcome to our coverage of the final day of Premier League action, as Swansea face Manchester City at the Liberty Stadium. Up for grabs is a place in the Champions League final qualifying round next season, and the Citizens are joined by Manchester United in scrapping for that fourth-place finish. Stick with us for all the action.
City are currently fourth, two points better off than Manchester United. Given their goal difference, anything but defeat here in Wales will pretty much guarantee their spot in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League next season. However, if they lose and United win, then Pep Guardiola will be leading his team out on Thursday nights next season. There's even a small chance for the Citizens to sneak automatically into the UCL in third, provided that they do the business here and Arsenal lose at home to bottom side Aston Villa.
Francesco Guidolin won't be joining Manuel Pellegrini on a farewell tour this afternoon after he inked a new two-year deal to remain as Swansea boss a few days ago. For the Wales outfit, there's not much to play for other than a symbolic top-half finish, which will only be achieved if they win and Stoke lose to West Ham. They've struggled badly for goals at the Liberty though, with only two other teams in the top flight managing less than their home tally of 19.
Swansea have only won one of their last nine league meetings with City, a run which includes a 2-1 loss in the reverse fixture in December. At the Etihad, the Swans thought that they had earned a point with a 90th minute equaliser from Bafetimbi Gomis, but with virtually the last kick of the game, Kelechi Iheanacho converted to give City all three points.
Manchester City subs: Sterling, Toure, Demichelis, Caballero, Nasri, Kolarov, Bony.
Pellegrini names an unchanged side from the one that drew 2-2 with Arsenal last time out. Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Pablo Zabaleta are all out injured. Iheanacho will pair Sergio Aguero up front, with the latter one goal behind Harry Kane in the race to finish as the top scorer for the season.
Guidolin makes four changes to his team from the side that beat West Ham 4-1 in London. Gylfi Sigurdsson, Neil Taylor, Ashley Williams and Lukasz Fabianski are all heading to the Euros and will not play, meaning that Angel Rangel, Leon Britton, Jefferson Montero and Kristoffer Nordfeldt will start Swansea's final game of 2015-16.
And that will do it for now from the Liberty Stadium, as Swansea peg City back dramatically to make it all square at the break. City took the lead through Iheanacho, but have been wasteful otherwise, and only have themselves to blame for conceding. A lot at stake in the second half, os stay tuned.
And that will do it! City have achieved the point that they need to all but guarantee fourth place, thanks to Iheanacho's early goal. Swansea cancelled that out via a deflected Ayew free-kick, and there was little to celebrate otherwise. Pellegrini ends his City tenure by giving the club top-tier European football next season. And that will do it for our commentary - thanks for tuning in today and indeed, for this season.
