Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde, will have several absentees for the clash, with Sergio Busquets set to miss out after coming off with a foot injury during their midweek Champions League victory against Chelsea. Denis Suarez and Nelson Semedo are also sidelined and Luis Suarez is suspended.
Mikel Balenziaga is a doubt for Athletico, after he missed the Europa League defeat against Marseille on Thursday.

Remarkably it is only 2-0 in favour of Barca here at the break, after goals from Paco Alcacer and Lionel Messi. However, they had so many chances to score more, with Coutinho and Paulinho hitting the woodwork, Dembele going close and causing the visitors huge problems. It's hard to see Athletic being able to get back into the game after the break, with Barca well in control of this match.

Barcelona secure a comfortable 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao at the Camp Nou, after a superb first-half performance which led to goals from Alcacer and Messi. They probably should've scored more in that opening half, creating numerous chances, but they were held at just the two. Athletic performed much better in the second half, showing much more fight and desire, but they were unable to get back into the game.
