Frustrations have reached a boiling point! Cahill takes exception, and rightfully so, after being plowed over from behind by Jordan Ayew. That was a nasty one, and it's brought a number of players together here, exchanging less than friendly words.
90' +2
Chelsea seem to have weathered Swansea's push here, as the hosts' momentum has fizzled out. The Swans have been much better in this second half, but that's little to hang their hat on as they are on the verge of slumping to a sixth successive Premier League match without a victory.
90'
There will be a minimum of three minutes added on at the end of this match. Do Swansea have an equaliser in them?
88'
SO CLOSE! That might have been the chance for Swansea! The ball falls kindly for Carroll atop the penalty area following a bit of pinball in the 18-yard box, and the substitute beats Courtois with his first-time effort, but can't get it on target! That drifts agonisingly wide of the far post!
86'
Courtois' hands are tested here as Mawson skips a strike at goal on this slick surface, from a fair distance. There's a plethora of white shirts surging forward to attack a potential rebound, but the Chelsea keeper does well to ensure there isn't one.
85'
Álvaro Morata enters the game and replaces O. Giroud.
The final change of the night for either side sees Chelsea bring on Alvaro Morata at the expense of Giroud.
83'
Chelsea could really put this game to bed here if they're sharp on the break. Swansea have two attacking wingers playing full-back, which is something the likes of Pedro and Willian could feast on if the hosts aren't careful.
81'
W. Routledge enters the game and replaces M. Olsson.
Pedro enters the game and replaces Cesc Fàbregas.
Willian enters the game and replaces E. Hazard.
The other change sees Fabregas give way for Pedro.
A double-change from Chelsea as well with just under 10 to play. Willian replaces Hazard.
Swansea's final change suggests they're going all out here, which is to be expected, as Wayne Routledge comes on to replace Olsson.
79'
Swansea are finally starting to give this an honest go, and it's got the crowd back into it. You can finally hear them singing and chanting away again as we approach the final 10 minutes. Should be some finish!
Minute
Description
77'
TWO GOOD CHANCES! Andre Ayew does everything right in attack to carve out space for a shot, but he bends his effort inches wide of the far post! Pressure is back on again moments later, but Naughton's long-range effort is saved comfortably by Courtois!
73'
AGONISINGLY WIDE! Moses sticks a foot out to try and divert Fabregas' strike at goal, but he winds up knocking it inches beyond the near post! What a chance that was!
71'
These supporters inside the Liberty Stadium have battled through far from ideal weather conditions to watch their side fight for their Premier League lives here - they deserve something to cheer about. Swansea need to pick it up here in a big way.
69'
OFFSIDE! That looked a big chance for Chelsea to put the game to bed as Hazard latches onto Azpilicueta's little dink over the top, but his header is straight at Fabianski. The offside flag was raised anyhow, so that wouldn't have counted.
67'
It's still Chelsea who remain in the ascendancy here, keeping possession well in the final third without carving out much of a chance. The hosts need to start picking up the tempo, or they're going to find themselves perilously positioned in the relegation fight.
63'
T. Carroll enters the game and replaces C. Roberts.
Roberts is replaced here by Tom Carroll, which suggests Swansea are changing from a back five to a back four.
62'
Chelsea keeping the pressure on here as they have the Swans pegged back, working largely down that right flank, but have been unable to create much. It's all been a bit too easy for the hosts in defence.
60'
Possession has been largely kept by Swansea in this second half, but Chelsea are finally enjoying their first prolonged spell on the ball. It's all been rather toothless from them since scoring, however.
58'
N. Dyer enters the game and replaces A. King.
The first change of the evening sees Nathan Dyer come on for the hosts, replacing Andy King. That should help inject some pace to the Swansea attack.
56'
Swansea have had a substitute ready for over four minutes now but there hasn't been a stoppage for them to make the change. There's been a lot of harmless possession held by both these sides as the match limps toward the hour mark.
52'
BETTER! Sheer determination sees Andre Ayew latch onto the end of a cross in from the left and he does very well to beat Rudiger to it, but can't make the desired contact under all sorts of pressure from the centre-half as he lifts it over the bar.
50'
Substitutes warming up for both sides as we start to see some activity on the two bunches. Five minutes gone in the second half but it's yet to burst to life. Plenty of harmless possession in midfield, with Swansea enjoying a bit more of it, since the restart.
48'
The rain was an issue in the first half, and now it's threatened to become even more so as it's pouring down harder in south Wales. This could be a sloppy second half if it doesn't cease.
46'
Back underway at the Liberty Stadium!
45' +1
HALF-TIME: SWANSEA 0-1 CHELSEA.
45'
There will be just one minute added on at the end of this first half.
43'
Conte's side have turned to keeping the ball in their own half as they look to milk the final minutes off the clock in this first half, and Swansea aren't proving very stern resistance.
41'
Chelsea have sort of switched off over the last 15 minutes, but Swansea have been unable to take advantage. Despite spending far less time on the ball, the entirety of this match is still being played in front of the Blues.
37'
Weather is certainly playing a factor here. It's pouring down and it's reaching a point where the pitch has become incredibly slick. Passes are skipping away from their intended destinations and it's all been a bit sloppy as a result.
35'
Chelsea are spending far less time on the ball here, but there's been little threat by Swansea of getting in behind. There's been little pace to speak of as the rain continues to pour down here.
33'
Swansea are starting to make a bit more noise in attack as they get a few more bodies forward. This still hasn't been at all the sort of first half they would have hoped for - but there's finally a bit of momentum for them to build off.
31'
That's quite a letdown from Ki, as he bends a tame effort straight into the waiting arms of Courtois. It looks like he wanted to put that across the face of goal to be attacked, but whatever he was planning hasn't panned out.
30'
V. Moses gets yellow.
Moses becomes the first Chelsea player to see yellow this evening and Swansea will have a big opportunity from this resulting free-kick to finally work Courtois...
27'
Andre Ayew links up with his brother Jordan, but can't get his shot through a crowd of bodies as it's blocked by one of the many blue shirts in the way. That's been about the bulk of Swansea's excitement in attack thus far.
25'
Defensively the hosts have tightened things up a bit, but they just haven't been able to get out from the back. Chelsea are so quick to regain their shape that the Swans have had no success trying to transition into the final third.
23'
The atmosphere has gone a bit lifeless at the Liberty Stadium, to match the performance of Swansea through the opening quarter of this match. The hosts are struggling to string more than a few passes together right now.
21'
OFF THE WOODWORK! Swansea are too flat here, lacking the intensity they need to get back into this match. A bit of pinball in the penalty area results in a scuffed Mawson clearance attempt that hits off the bar!
17'
A dangerous corner whipped in from the left affords Chelsea a chance at a second, but a good piece of defending from Mawson denies Giroud from getting his head to it, before it just eludes Rudiger at the far post!
15'
A. Ayew gets yellow.
Andre Ayew is a bit overly physical with his challenge on Emerson, and that will see him pick up the game's first yellow card.
14'
Better from the Swans! Olsson hangs a clever little cross in towards the far post and Roberts sprints forward to try and meet it, showing wonderful ambition, but Emerson does brilliantly to intervene and head clear the danger!
12'
Chelsea are working everything through Hazard, who has seen plenty of the ball here in the early going. He's pulling the strings in attack and doing a nice job finding little pockets of space in the final third.
10'
Swansea have been unable to get into any sort of rhythm here, with Chelsea passing it around comfortably in midfield. It's been far from a spirited start from the hosts, who need to show a bit of urgency.
6'
That's exactly the sort of start Carlos Carvalhal and Swansea couldn't afford to make. It's quieted things in the Liberty Stadium and put all the responsibility on the hosts' shoulders. They can't afford to sit back now.
4'
Cesc Fàbregas has scored a goal for Chelsea! Assist by E. Hazard.
Lovely vision and technique from Hazard to pick out Fabregas there with the outside of his foot.
CHELSEA TAKE AN EARLY LEAD! A giveaway in midfield allows Chelsea to break and Hazard is able to pick out Fabregas to his right, who bends a terrific finish beyond Fabianski with his weaker left foot!
3'
The pressure on Swansea has been drastically increased following Southampton's victory earlier today, and as well with Stoke picking up an unexpected point in Liverpool. There's a good atmosphere inside the Liberty Stadium, but you could cut the tension with a knife.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Swansea in white and Chelsea in blue here at the Liberty Stadium...
Hello and welcome to live coverage of this Premier League match as Swansea City welcome Chelsea to the Liberty Stadium!
There will be a ton of eyes from across the Premier League on this match, as it carries massive implications for a number of other clubs near the top and at the bottom.
A Chelsea victory will keep their top-four hopes alive, while keeping the pressure on Spurs who host Watford tomorrow. It would also provide Southampton, Stoke and West Brom with renewed hope in their quest for survival - each of them picking up points earlier today.
A Swansea victory would mean West Brom, despite their remarkable show of late, would officially be relegated. It also means one less team that Stoke would be able to catch. Most importantly for the Swans, though, it the breathing room they would get with a win - moving four-points and two places clear of the drop. A Chelsea defeat would also all but guarantee Liverpool a top-four finish.
There are no clinching scenarios associated with a draw in this match, though that would prove detrimental to Chelsea’s top-four hopes and leave Stoke’s odds of survival hanging by a thread. It would also set-up a massive showdown between Southampton and Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on May 8 - something the Swans would like to avoid.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
SWANSEA (5-4-1): Fabianski; Naughton, Van der Hoorn, Roberts, Mawson, Olsson; A. Ayew, King, Ki, Clucas; J. Ayew.
Swansea manager Carlos Carvalhal makes two changes from the 5-0 drubbing at the hands of champions Manchester City. Connor Roberts is awarded his first Premier League start of the campaign with Federico Fernandez out injured, while Sam Clucas comes into midfield at the expense of Tom Carroll.
Antonio Conte makes two changes from last weekend's FA Cup final victory over Southampton. Thibaut Courtois is restored in goal, with Willy Caballero back on the bench, while Willian gives way to Tiemoue Bakayoko. Marcos Alonso serves the final game in his three-match ban.
Cesc Fabregas' 50th Premier League goal came with the only shot on target managed by either side in the first half as Chelsea head into the interval with the lead. It's all been rather toothless from both sides - hopefully things will pick up a bit after the restart.
Cesc Fabregas' fourth-minute tally proves enough for Chelsea as they depart the Liberty Stadium with three points to pull them back to within two of fourth-place Tottenham. For Swansea, they now sit just one point up on the bottom three as their Premier League status has come under serious peril.
That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
