Westwood and Smith exchange words after a 50-50 and the latter takes offence to it, being shown a yellow card for his reaction.
FULL-TIME: BOURNEMOUTH 1-3 BURNLEY
90' +3
Burnley are seeing out this game with ease, it must be said. King sends in another front-post delivery that Tarkowski gets his head on the end of. From the next attack, King's curler deflects into the face of Westwood, who looks a little dazed.
90' +1
Four minutes have been added on at the Vitality Stadium, the first of which has been played with little incident. Bournemouth have run out of ideas.
89'
HEATON THWARTS WILSON! A cross towards the back post is headed back across goal by Wilson, but Tarkowski clears it away. Wilson opts to have a go from the angle when the ball drops to him, but Heaton gets down to smother it. Not even sure if that one was technically on target.
87'
Mee scuffs his clearance and Wilson, who initially looked to be in an offside position, chases it down. The attack fizzles out and Burnley are now just a few minutes of normal time away from a massive victory in their fight for survival.
85'
Stanislas passes the ball straight to a Burnley player in midfield, summing up his side's second-half display. Howe will not be a happy man after this.
84'
Bournemouth have showed very few signs of a revival since falling two goals behind. Lowton intercepts the ball high up the pitch and whips it in, giving Ake something to think about at the front post.
82'
J. Guðmundsson enters the game and replaces J. Hendrick.
Burnley, down to 10 men while Lowton is off the field, spray the free-kick towards the left. McNeil decides against running to the corner and instead swings the ball towards the front post, where Begovic is waiting to gather.
Hendrick, who has put in a good shift in midfield today, is replaced by Gudmundsson in Burnley's first change of the match. Lowton is back on the field for the visitors.
79'
Brooks and Stanislas stand over the free-kick. The latter wins the right to take it, frustratingly picking out the wall with his effort.
78'
B. Mee gets yellow.
Mee catches Solanke on the knee with his challenge, though this is one that looks worse than it actually is. A yellow card is the right call.
Minute
Description
77'
Burnley are defending well. Fraser covers some ground but he only has Wilson up for support, and he is unable to pick him out. Bournemouth, for all their possession, are not really looking like scoring.
75'
Burnley have done very well to take the sting out of the match. The visitors have produced what you would call a 'professional' away performance, taking their chances when they arrived and keeping the opposition out following a shaky opening few minutes.
73'
The visitors hold a good line when defending Fraser's curled delivery, but King still gets his head to the ball. Ake drifts in at the back post but is unable to turn it on target. A Bournemouth goal in the next 10 minutes will make things interesting...
71'
J. Stanislas enters the game and replaces J. Lerma.
Howe makes his third and final change, with former Burnley player Stanislas replacing Lerma.
70'
Burnley have only had 40 per cent of the ball, showing that possession does not mean everything in this game. The match has gone a little quiet over the last few minutes, which will suit Dyche just fine.
68'
SHOT! Barnes and Wood are linking well in attack for Burnley. The latter is teed up by Barnes and flashes a shot wide of target. Howe could do with making another change because the visitors are still looking the more likely to score the game's next goal.
66'
The hosts are now keeping hold of possession, but they are not doing a great deal with it. Burnley are looking comfortable and are well on course for a victory that should be enough to keep them in the Premier League, barring a big collapse in the remaining weeks of the season.
64'
Bournemouth are struggling to cope with Burnley's intensity - it is clear that the visitors want the three points more. McNeil is not giving the opposition a moment's peace, sending in another decent delivery that Wood cannot quite get on the end of.
62'
McNeil is having another good game down the left. The youngster sends in a low ball and Begovic this time manages to take hold of it, leading to ironic cheers from the home fans. The experienced goalkeeper has been at fault for two of Bournemouth's goals.
60'
CLOSE! Bournemouth's supporters are starting to grow a little restless. Taylor's corner is met by Mee, who gets ahead of Lerma, but he is unable to pick out the target with his header. Burnley are looking more likely to score a fourth than Bournemouth are to net a second.
59'
D. Solanke enters the game and replaces D. Gosling.
Howe turns to his bench for the second time today, bringing on Solanke for Gosling in an attacking change.
56'
A. Barnes has scored a goal for Burnley! Assist by C. Wood.
GOOOOAAALLL!!! BOURNEMOUTH 1-3 BURNLEY! The visitors have some breathing space as Barnes adds his name to the scoresheet. Bournemouth wait for a whistle that does not come and they are punished as Taylor's cross is once again poorly dealt with by Begovic. It takes a slight deflection on its way through and Begovic drops it at his near post, allowing Wood to cut it back to Barnes to convert from eight yards. As simple as you like!
Wood did well to put Begovic under some pressure at his front post without giving the referee enough of a reason to award a free-kick. He then picked out Barnes for a fairly simple finish.
54'
McNeil's free-kick is not the best, sending the ball straight into the wall. The same player tries to clip the loose ball over the top for Wood, but his team-mate is in an offside position.
53'
King gets a little fortunate with the bounce of the ball but he is unable to get a shot away as Tarkowski shields it out of play. Burnley have been under the cosh, but Barnes is fouled by Lerma and the visitors have a free-kick in a good shooting position.
51'
Bournemouth have had 58 per cent of the ball so far, managing three shots to Burnley's five. The most telling stat, though, is that the visitors have found the back of the net twice, Bournemouth once.
50'
Bournemouth, after their sloppy start to the second half, have managed to find their rhythm once again. King drives forward and picks out Wilson, whose cross is blocked behind. The corner is poor, allowing Burnley to clear with ease.
48'
Burnley wanted a penalty for that Barnes shot against the arm of Ake, but there was very little the Bournemouth defender could have done.
47'
QUICK START! Burnley catch Bournemouth sleeping and could easily have scored a third just seconds into the second half. Wood heads down a long ball and Barnes is able to control it and shoot without the ball touching the floor. It deflects off Ake's arm and flies wide of the target.
46'
Diego Rico enters the game and replaces N. Clyne.
Rico is on for Clyne for the start of the second half. Howe has taken action, with his side requiring a couple of goals in the remaining 45 minutes.
RESTART! Burnley, leading 2-1 from the first half, get us back up and running at the Vitality Stadium!
45' +2
HALF-TIME: BOURNEMOUTH 1-2 BURNLEY
45' +1
Begovic looks a little more settled now as he deals with a cross into the box. Burnley seem to have done enough to hold Bournemouth at arm's length as half-time is less than 60 seconds away.
44'
Taylor does well to block Clyne's cross for a corner after Bournemouth doubled up on him. Burnley are under real pressure at the end of this first half but they are dealing with every ball that comes into the box. Can Dyche's men hold on for the next couple of minutes?
42'
Bournemouth have played some really good football at times in this first half. Clyne and Brooks exchange passes down the right but Burnley stand strong, refusing to let the latter carry the ball into the box. Brooks is instead forced to cross and it is a visiting player who gets to the ball first.
40'
PENALTY SHOUT! A bad first touch lets King down but he nearly gets to the loose ball, only to seemingly be sent to the ground by Lowton. The referee is having none of it, though, waving play on, and replays show that was the correct call - Lowton pulled his foot away.
37'
Bournemouth scramble the ball away following some good play from McNeil. Moments later, Wood is fractionally offside as he tries to chase down a 40-yard pass. The home side could do with getting Brooks and Fraser involved in the game once again.
35'
A. Barnes gets yellow.
Barnes is shown a yellow card for lunging in on Begovic. In the Burnley attacker's defence, he appears to pull out of the challenge, so it was certainly not worthy of a red.
34'
Wilson, who has had a number of injury issues over the past few years, looks in a little pain as he stays on the ground, but he is soon back to his feet. This match has been very fast-paced so far - this is a welcome breather for both sets of players.
32'
J. Hendrick gets yellow.
Hendrick is the second player to be booked - the first for Burnley - for putting a foot in on Smith out wide.
OVER THE BAR! Westwood's latest set-piece delivery causes more panic in the Bournemouth box. The ball is headed back across goal and is initially headed clear by Ake, but it comes back in and Wood loops it onto the roof of the net via his head. Begovic is relieved to see it drop the wrong side of the crossbar.
31'
NEARLY! Westwood, with a goal and an assist already today, tries to catch out Begovic with his angled free-kick. Begovic does well as he gets down to his right to push the ball to safety, with a couple of Burnley players possibly blocking his line of sight.
29'
N. Clyne gets yellow.
Clyne is struggling up against McNeil down Bournemouth's right. The Burnley winger, on the scoresheet in his last two outings, tries to get away from his man but is hauled down for the game's first yellow card.
27'
Both sides have put in some strong challenges over the past couple of minutes. The referee Martin Atkinson is trying his best to let the game flow but that has not been easy. Bournemouth are pushing for an equaliser as we approach the half-hour mark.
22'
Howe will be furious with his side's defending for those two Burnley goals, in the same way that Dyche will not be happy with the manner of Bournemouth's opener. Goals were expected today and this match has certainly not let down so far.
20'
A. Westwood has scored a goal for Burnley!
GOOOOAAALLL!!! BOURNEMOUTH 1-2 BURNLEY! The visitors have turned the game on its head in the space of a couple of minutes. It is another poor one to concede from Bournemouth's perspective as McNeil's cross is cleared by Mepham right into the path of Westwood, whose side-foot finish nestles into the corner of the net.
18'
C. Wood has scored a goal for Burnley! Assist by A. Westwood.
Westwood's delivery was half-decent, but this should have been a simple catch for Begovic. The keeper, under no real pressure, fails to get a hand to the ball and it is a straightforward back-post header for Wood.
GOOOOAAALLL!!! BOURNEMOUTH 1-1 BURNLEY! Wood levels things up for Burnley with the simplest of back-post headers. Ake does well to clear the ball behind for a corner under pressure, but his side struggle to deal with the delivery from Westwood. Begovic watches it sail over his head and Wood is waiting to convert.
17'
CHANCE! Brooks is proving to be a real threat for the hosts. He once again carries the ball into the box but can only pick out Heaton with his curler - the Bournemouth winger will perhaps feel he could have done a little better there.
16'
Bournemouth come close to a second as Fraser picks out fellow winger Brooks, who carries the ball into the box. The Wales wideman gets the wrong side of his man, but he picks out Tarkowski instead of a team-mate.
14'
The home side work the ball well and Brooks has a chance to cross it from the right. The youngster opts to wriggle his way past Taylor instead, but the final pass is lacking and Burnley clear.
12'
Bournemouth's corner is just as poor as the Burnley free-kick a minute or so beforehand, with the ball going straight out of play without a touch. There is not a great deal between the teams at the moment, though Howe's side do of course boast a one-goal lead.
10'
To answer that previous question: No, they can't! The free-kick is sent into a perfect zone for Begovic to catch, and the keeper launches a quick counter, ending with a corner being won by the home side through Wilson.
9'
Dyche's side have seen a lot more of the ball since falling a goal behind. Taylor charges down the left and, just when he appears to have run out of space, Clyne needlessly lunges in to concede a free-kick. Can the visitors make this set-piece opportunity count?
7'
This is better from the visitors, who are finally starting to settle. A cross from deep is blocked by the first man, though, giving Bournemouth a chance to regather. Up the other end, Dyche's side are playing a risky game with their high line.
5'
SAVE! Bournemouth look well up for this one. Fraser has a go from range, but Heaton has a comfortable save to make down the middle.
4'
A. Barnes is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
GOOOOOAAAALLL!!! BOURNEMOUTH 1-0 BURNLEY! What a great start for the hosts! From the free-kick won on the left, Brooks swings it into the middle, Lerma flicks it on and Barnes nods it past his own keeper from the edge of the six-yard box. Burnley's top scorer prevents Ake from converting, but it comes at a cost as he does the hard work for his opponent!
3'
The two sides, as expected, are set out in a 4-4-2 formation. Not to tempt fate, but goals can be expected today - the teams have conceded more than 100 goals combined this season. The hosts have started on top, winning a free-kick in a good crossing position.
1'
KICK-OFF! Bournemouth, who have the chance to all but make certain of another season of Premier League football with victory today, get us up and running!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Premier League meeting between Bournemouth and Burnley at the Vitality Stadium.
Burnley are in need of points to help their survival cause, as they head into this match sitting just one place above the relegation zone. The gap on next opponents Cardiff City stands at five points, however, so a 10th victory of the season today would leave Sean Dyche's men in a very strong position ahead of their huge showdown against Cardiff a week from now. One of those previous nine victories came in their most recent outing, beating Wolves 2-0 at Turf Moor last week to end a four-match losing run.
Bournemouth are not quite safe from the drop themselves, though it is fair to say that Eddie Howe's men are looking more likely to challenge for a place in the top half than they are to be dragged into a relegation scrap. The hosts have picked up just five points from their last eight league games, with a 2-0 victory at Huddersfield Town their only win in that run, so they could do with a victory today to take them past the magic 40-point mark, allowing them to focus on the sides in front of them rather than those behind.
BOURNEMOUTH (4-4-2): Asmir Begovic; Nathaniel Clyne, Chris Mepham, Nathan Ake, Adam Smith; David Brooks, Dan Gosling (c), Jefferson Lerma, Ryan Fraser; Joshua King, Callum Wilson.
Bournemouth subs: Junior Stanislas, Jordon Ibe, Lys Mousset, Artur Boruc, Jack Simpson, Dominic Solanke, Diego Rico.
BURNLEY (4-4-2): Tom Heaton (c); Matthew Lowton, James Tarkowski, Ben Mee, Charlie Taylor; Jeff Hendrick, Ashley Westwood, Jack Cork, Dwight McNeil; Ashley Barnes, Chris Wood.
Burnley subs: Robbie Brady, Kevin Long, Stephen Ward, Ben Gibson, Johann Gudmundsson, Matej Vydra, Joe Hart.
The two teams are now out on the field at the Vitality Stadium and we are moments away from kick-off.
Wilson missed a glorious headed chance to make it 2-2 and Westwood also came close to doubling his personal tally when trying to catch out Begovic with a curled free-kick. There has not been a great deal between the sides over the course of the opening 45 minutes, but the onus is on Bournemouth to score the next goal. Will Howe turn to his bench at the interval? He has the likes of Stanislas, Ibe, Mousset and Solanke to choose from.
Dyche's side are now eight points clear of next opponents Cardiff in the one remaining relegation spot, having played a game more. Bournemouth are still not assured of safety themselves after this poor result, sitting 10 points above the dotted line ahead of their trip to Brighton in seven days' time. That is a match that has now taken on added importance for them.
Thanks for joining our coverage today. Until next time, goodbye!
