We're underway in this semi-final clash.
Peru also reached the semi-finals of the Copa America courtesy of a win via a penalty shootout. Their clash against Uruguay ended in a 0-0 draw, prompting a test of character from the spot. Luis Suarez missed Uruguay's first penalty before all five of Peru's takers slotted their efforts home to secure their place in the last four. Los Incas have not reached the final of the competition since their triumph in 1975. As a result, there is pressure on Ricardo Gareca and his team tonight.
Defending champions Chile are looking to secure a place in the final for the third tournament in a row. La Roja have won back-to-back crowns and have enjoyed another strong run in the competition. They were held to a goalless draw in their quarter-final clash against Colombia, forcing a penalty shootout. Reinaldo Rueda's men held their nerve from the spot, while William Tesillio missed his kick to allow Chile to advance. No team has won the Copa America three times in a row since the competition was re-adjusted 1975, Chile need a good performance to keep their hopes of achieving the feat alive.

Charles Aranguiz could have put them ahead in the contest, but he placed his close-range effort wide of the post. The miss has epitomised their performance thus far. The defending champions need a special effort in the second half otherwise their reign will be over.
