76'
It’s been a much better second half from Leicester City, who’ve thoroughly deserved their equaliser. The bright start from Chelsea has seemingly dwindled away, though their fresh-legged attackers will certainly cause danger in the final 15.
73'

Rodgers counters Chelsea’s double switch with a substitution of his own, as Choudhry is off for Praet.
71'

67'
W. Ndidi has scored a goal for Leicester City! Assist by J. Maddison.
NDIDI MAKES AMENDS WITH AN EQUALISING GOAL! 1-1! The midfielder looks extremely emotional after putting Leicester City level with a thumping header from a Maddison corner. He was marked by Azpilicueta, but the right-back had little chance against the imposing Nigeria international! His mistake gave Chelsea the lead, but he’s made it right with a finish at the other end.
Maddison has been threatening with great set-pieces all match, but this time he gets some help from his team-mate as Ndidi obliges with the finish.

Maddison puts the ball around Christensen and enters the penalty area, before dragging Kepa off his line. He centres it for the awaiting Vardy, but by the time the delivery comes in, enough Chelsea players come back to defend it.
48'
A bit of a scare in the early going for Chelsea as Leicester City pile forward, but Maddison is unable to connect with the bouncing ball, slipping before his volley towards Kepa can come to fruition.

13'
Azpilicueta breaks out the style with a sombrero over Fuchs and a throughball down the flank for Mount, but it goes a bit too long for him to latch onto.
11'
Maddison shrugs off Kante with fantastic balance and slips a pass through the heart of the defence for a charging Vardy, but a last-ditch sliding challenge from Azpilicueta puts it out for a throw.
9'
Chelsea have absolutely overwhelmed the Foxes, who seem shell-shocked. The Blues are refusing to let their opponents settle on the ball, harrying every possession and winning it back in midfield.
7'
M. Mount has scored a goal for Chelsea!
MOUNT GIVES CHELSEA THE PERFECT START! It’s an absolutely horrible goal to give away for Leicester City, whose attempt to play it out of the back is spoiled by some very lax dribbling from Ndidi in front of his goal. Mount manages to nip in undetected and win possession, before flat-footing Schmeichel with a great finish!
5'
There’s been an interesting bit of refereeing news as the match official slated to take charge of the fixture - Graham Scott - was stuck in traffic pre-match and was only able to arrive in time to take up the fourth official’s spot. Oliver Langford is the chosen replacement; Langford never having refereed a Premier League fixture before.

Chelsea get the match underway from the kick-off!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE commentary of the Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Leicester City.
Frank Lampard’s return to Chelsea hasn’t been as seamless as hoped, with the Blues getting thumped 4-0 by Manchester United in their opening fixture, which was followed up by a loss on penalties to Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup. The return of N’Golo Kante to the starting XI will undoubtedly provide a boost - and help shield a relatively inexperienced backline.
The Premier League champions of 2015/16 started their sixth-consecutive top-flight season with a hard-fought draw against Wolves at the King Power Stadium - though a late VAR intervention saved them from defeat by chalking off a goal for handball. The Foxes haven’t managed a league win in three matches, though they avoided defeat in their last fixture of the previous season, a 0-0 with Chelsea.
CHELSEA SUBS: Ross Barkley, Mateo Kovacic, Willy Caballero, Tammy Abraham, Marcos Alonso, Fikayo Tomori, Willian.
CHELSEA XI (4-2-3-1): Kepa Arrizabalaga; Emerson, Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta; Jorginho, N’Golo Kante; Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Pedro; Olivier Giroud.
With 15 minutes to go before kick-off, let's take a look at the team news, starting with Chelsea!
LEICESTER CITY SUBS: James Justin, Harvey Barnes, Wes Morgan, Marc Albrighton, Kelechi Iheanacho, Danny Ward, Dennis Praet.
LEICESTER CITY XI (4-1-4-1): Kasper Schmeichel; Ricardo Pereira, Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu, Christian Fuchs; Wilfred Ndidi; Ayoze Perez, Youri Tielemans, Hamza Choudhury, James Maddison; Jamie Vardy.
Despite being a goal down, Rodgers will be somewhat pleased that it isn’t worse, considering the extremely poor start his side had to the match. He also has a number of interesting options on the bench to change the match, with both the creative Praet and the direct Iheanacho waiting in the wings. Lampard will certainly not be disappointed with how things stand, but Pedro and Mount’s wonderful start to the match should perhaps have produced more than the single strike.
That concludes our commentary of the Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Leicester City. We hope you enjoyed it!
The Blues will be searching for their first win of the Premier League season next week when they travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich City on Saturday. As for the Foxes, they’ll also be looking for their first three-point haul of the campaign when they visit Sheffield United.
