I. Success enters the game and replaces W. Hughes.
N. Chalobah enters the game and replaces A. Doucouré.
Hughes has been lively today, but he's replaced by Success as Watford look to stretch the game with more pace on the break.
Doucoure makes way for Chalobah as the away side look for more energy in their tiring midfield.
67'
Atsu races in behind Watford's backline and rolls a pass across the face of goal just beyond Joelinton. That would have been a huge chance if the winger could have just managed to get the pace right on that pass!
65'
The away side are enjoying a brief spell of pressure in return now. Doucoure slaloms his way to the byline and cuts a fierce low cross back into the centre, but Dubravka does excellently to swing a leg at it, and deflect it clear.
63'
Watford make a rare foray forward, as Cleverley latches onto a long diagonal pass but from a narrow angle, he can only blaze his shot high and wide at the near post.

44'

Dawson is booked for a blatant body check as Willems looks to break away from him.
41'
F. Schär has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by I. Hayden.
EQUALISER FOR NEWCASTLE! Hayden throws himself at a Longstaff cross from the right causing the ball to drop kindly for Schar who rifles the loose ball beyond Foster!
Hayden did brilliantly to put the Watford backline under pressure and Schar did well to control his volley. Nevertheless, Foster will be disappointed that he couldn't keep that shot out, despite getting a hand to the ball.
39'
Newcastle fail to defend a Watford corner, with Dawson latching onto a loose ball and having a volley blocked from six yards.
37'
Almiron zooms in behind and the flag is raised for offside. The Paraguayan doesn't know however, and proceeds to round Foster and tap the ball into the net for no reward.
33'

31'
I. Hayden gets yellow.
Newcastle let their frustration show slightly, as Hayden roughly brings Pereyra down moments after losing the ball to him. Another simple yellow card for the referee to award.
29'
A. Doucouré gets yellow.
Doucoure halts a surging Atsu run with a heavy challenge, and picks up a deserved yellow card.
26'
The home fans respond to this period of pressure in good voice. Newcastle continue to examine the Watford defence with a spell of lateral passing in their half, but the away side hold firm.
24'
Better from the home side as Atsu swings a deep free-kick into the box that Foster can only just punch clear, facing tremendous aerial pressure. The subsequent corner is well worked and enables Willems to crack a volley off from 18 yards, but Dawson comes across to bravely block.

Frustrated groans from the home fans still though, as they wait for their side to gain a true foothold in the game.
18'
Newcastle enjoy a period of possession as the away side sit deep. Joelinton gets involved to lay a pass off to Hayden, but the return pass is overhit and Watford gratefully rebuild from the back.
16'
For all their strong defensive work at Spurs last week, Newcastle look worryingly open here. Watford have had the chances to be leading by more than just the one goal.
9'
While Newcastle have reacted well to going behind, they'll need to be cautious about committing too many men forward at this stage. The trio of Gray, Hughes and Pereyra carry an incisive threat on the break.
8'
Pereyra leads a Watford counter-attack and attempts to slip Gray through on goal. Lascelles slides in to intercept, but the loose ball breaks to Femenia who curls a speculative effort just over from 20 yards.
6'
Newcastle break in behind Watford's back three again. This time it's Almiron on the right-hand side, but his cross is hacked clear by Kabasele.
2'
W. Hughes has scored a goal for Watford!
GOAL FOR WATFORD ALREADY! Dream start for Watford - and after a poor run of form exactly what they needed! Cleverley fires off a speculative shot from distance that deflects into the path of Hughes, who remains calm and slots past Dubravka from six yards!

Watford kick us off attacking from left to right.
Hello and welcome to this Premier League clash between Newcastle United and Watford. The teams today occupy the bottom two spots in the table, but the home side will have freshly renewed optimism after a heroic away win at Spurs last weekend. Watford, meanwhile, will be feeling decidedly sombre in comparison. They’ve lost all three games so far this season – they’ll be feeling the pressure to take three points away from their long trip up North this afternoon.
NEWCASTLE (5-4-1): Martin Dubravka; Emil Krafth, Fabian Schar, Jamaal Lascelles, Paul Dummett, Jetro Willems; Miguel Almiron, Isaac Hayden, Sean Longstaff, Christian Atsu; Joelinton.
SUBS: Ciaran Clark, Ki Sung-Yueng, Jonjo Shelvey, Yoshinori Muto, Federico Fernandez, Javier Manquillo, Karl Darlow.
SUBS: Heurelho Gomes, Gerard Deulofeu, Danny Welbeck, Adam Masina, Nathaniel Chalobah, Isaac Success, Ismaila Sarr.
The players are emerging from the tunnel here - kick-off is seconds away!
WATFORD (3-4-2-1): Ben Foster; Craig Dawson, Christian Kabasele, Craig Cathcart; Daryl Janmaat, Tom Cleverley, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Kiko Femenia; Will Hughes, Roberto Pereyra; Andre Gray.
It was a breathless half though, and both sides will be confident that they can take all three points with a strong second period.
Ultimately, that's a result that neither side can complain too strongly about. The first half was even: Watford took the lead through a simple finish from Hughes before Newcastle equalised from a Schar drive, with few chances outside of the goals. The home side started the second period strongly and created numerous openings, but their intensity faded and the final 10 minutes featured just a few chances for the Hornets.
Watford will be relieved to get their first point of the season, while Newcastle will take cautious optimism from going two games unbeaten. However, going forward both teams will feel they'll need more of an attacking threat to pick up the wins needed for survival.
