Arsenal have eight men back defending, and eventually Cleverley commits a foul trying to win a header from Janmaat's cross. That might just do it.
90' +1
É. Capoue gets yellow.
Capoue goes into the book late on for a late challenge.
Out of nowhere, Pepe and Aubameyang look to be clear on goal but the latter is just crowded out before he can pick out a pass or a shot. Watford defended that well in the end, but there must have been some hearts in mouths here at Vicarage Road!
90'
Xhaka does well to beat one man in midfield but his pass out to the right is lazy and Watford counter. Doucoure has a shot from the edge of the area, but it's quickly charged down and we're into four minutes of added-on time.
89'
That might have been the chance for Arsenal! Maitland-Niles stands the ball up towards the back post from the right, Xhaka is unmarked but it's just out of reach and he can only toe it behind for a goal-kick. If he could have controlled that, he would have had plenty of time to pick out a finish.
88'
Arsenal win a free-kick just inside the Watford half and Xhaka delivers it to the edge of the area, but it's cleared easily and Watford look to mount another assault. This is absolutely breathless!
87'
The initial corner is cleared but Watford win it back immediately once again. The chance is wasted this time, though, Janmaat opting to shoot left-footed from a position to the right some 20 yards out and getting it horribly wrong. It flies well over, and Arsenal can breathe.
86'
Another shooting opportunity for Watford. Doucoure does brilliantly with a swerving run in from the left touchline, the ball eventually comes to Cleverley at the edge of the area but his shot deflects behind off the head of Luiz. It might have been going over anyway, but Watford get a corner.
85'
Watford are all over Arsenal here. The away side try to hold onto possession in their own half but Torreira is immediately pressed off the ball.
83'
Capoue finds Femenia with a sensational cross-field ball over to the right, and the Spaniard controls it well. Watford are patient in their build-up and eventually Pereyra looks to bend in a cross from the right, which Luiz heads clear.

Description
82'
As you might imagine, Flores looks delighted, and he could end up being even happier. On the balance of this second half, it would take a brave shout to rule Watford out of winning this game from here.
81'
Penalty goal scored by R. Pereyra for Watford!
GOAL! IT'S ALL SQUARE AT 2-2! Pereyra steps up calmly and rolls the ball into the bottom-left corner with Leno going the other way.
78'
D. Janmaat enters the game and replaces J. Holebas.
A final set of fresh legs for Watford. Janmaat replaces Holebas.
76'
B. Leno gets yellow.
The corner from the right is fairly simply cleared but Arsenal make a mess of the counter and the ball comes back in towards Sarr. There's some fairly panicked defending going on, but this time they do manage to work the ball clear before Cleverley catches Luiz late and gives away a foul.
Arsenal look worried here. There's still a full quarter of an hour to play and Leno is already booked for time-wasting from the free kick.
75'
Sarr looks to take matters into his own hands, leading an attack which threatens to stagnate 30 yards from goal. He gets the ball back from a team-mate and shoots, with his effort deflected straight behind for a corner.
74'
Watford come forward down the left, Deulofeu shoots right-footed, held by Leno. Wash, rinse, repeat.
71'
R. Nelson enters the game and replaces M. Özil.
Ozil caused Watford problems in the first half, but he's struggled to make an impression in the second with the home side taking the initiative. He's replaced by the more mobile Nelson.
70'
Sarr looks to make an impression, popping up in that left-wing spot where Watford are targeting Maitland-Niles. He mistimes his run and is caught just offside.
69'
Kabasele gets his head to the corner at the back post, but can't get it on target under pressure. It balloons harmlessly behind, and Arsenal have a goal kick - which Leno again sends long.
68'
Arsenal are having to defend in numbers now, but the end result is still the same. Deulofeu gets the ball on the left, beats Maitland-Niles infield but can't find the far corner with his shot. There must have been a touch on this one, as Watford get a corner over on the right.
67'
L. Torreira enters the game and replaces M. Guendouzi.
Emery looks to introduce some bite into his midfield, with Torreira replacing Guendouzi.
66'
Femenia continues to threaten down the right and this time fires in a good low ball to Pereyra eight yards out. He looks to flick it toward the far post but just can't quite get enough of a connection.
64'
Leno seems to learn his lesson and goes long with a goal kick, to ironic cheers from the crowd. Dawson wins the defensive header, but Arsenal fans would surely rather see them lose the ball 80 yards from goal than 18.
63'
R. Pereyra enters the game and replaces W. Hughes.
Second change of the afternoon from Flores, Hughes going off for Pereyra.
Deulofeu is in behind again, jinking in between Luiz and Maitland-Niles, but Guendouzi is there to turn his attempted square ball behind for a corner.
62'
Aubameyang has a crack from range, but he doesn't make a good connection with his right foot and it slithers harmlessly wide to the left of goal.
60'
J. Willock enters the game and replaces Dani Ceballos.
Femenia picks the ball up on the right once again - he's finding a lot of space over there - and, with the ball bobbling up slightly, he does what any sensible person would do and spanks it on the half-volley. It flies just over, but had Leno worried for a split second.
Arsenal make their first change, Willock coming on for Ceballos, who has had a pretty quiet game.
58'
Watford go close again and, as has been a theme in this game, it's Deulofeu with the effort. He drifts in from the left and fires a right-footed shot towards the far bottom corner from the edge of the area, but he just doesn't get enough curve on the strike and it bounces wide.
57'
Maitland-Niles makes headway down the right but checks back and can't pick out a dangerous ball. Watford break and though Arsenal do win the ball back, the home side press them well. This has turned into a good game!
56'
Kiko Femenía gets yellow.
Kolasinac is pulled back on the halfway line by Femenia as Arsenal looked to build an attack down the left. Femenia gets a yellow for his trouble.
54'
I. Sarr enters the game and replaces A. Gray.
Summer signing Sarr comes on in the first change of the afternoon, replacing Gray.
53'
T. Cleverley has scored a goal for Watford! Assist by Deulofeu.
GOAL! CLEVERLEY PULLS ONE BACK, IT'S 2-1! Watford have pressed Arsenal really well from goal kicks, and this time Sokratis' pass to Guendouzi is intercepted by Deulofeu. He can't control it but it comes to Cleverley at the edge of the area, and the midfielder sweeps a low shot under Leno. Good finish.
Deulofeu gets the assist after stretching out a foot to intercept Sokratis' pass from the goal kick. Watford had been threatening from that exact position already in this half.
52'
Femenia picks up the ball in a similar position on the right and, with bodies in the box, floats a cross in toward the six-yard line. Sokratis heads as far as Doucoure who shoots left-footed, but he scuffs his shot badly and it spins away, wide to the left of goal.
51'
Femenia finds some space over on the right again, as Watford work the play from side to side. He looks to find Deulofeu in behind with a reverse pass, but Ceballos does well to track him and shepherd it out for a goal kick.
50'
Xhaka gets the ball a very long way from goal, is urged to shoot, and does so. He catches it reasonably well, but it flies high and wide. Emery presumably just lets him have one of those in every game.
48'
Arsenal have started the second half in fairly frantic fashion. They need to take a moment to get the game back under control, or they're playing right into Watford's hands as they seek an early goal.
47'
Deulofeu comes in from the left and finds Hughes at the edge of the area. He swipes his left boot at it first time, but gets right underneath it and it goes a long way over the bar. Perfect field-goal technique, though.
46'
We're back underway here, Watford getting the second half off and running. Have they got a comeback in them?
Femenia instantly flies forward down the right flank and puts in what initially looks like a good low cross to the edge of the six-yard box. There's nobody attacking it, though, and Leno gathers easily.
45' +4
HALF-TIME: WATFORD 0-2 ARSENAL
45' +2
J. Holebas gets yellow.
M. Guendouzi gets yellow.
Holebas sees yellow as well for his part in the scuffle, but he's not happy about it.
Holebas and Pepe butt heads after a coming-together, Guendouzi comes and gets involved, and there's a scuffle over on the right touchline. Guendouzi had just had a talking-to from the referee, and he's booked for racing into the affray.
45'
Every time Watford look like scoring, it's Deulofeu involved. Gray wins a good header from a throw-in over on the left, Deulofeu drives at the Arsenal defence and looks to finish left-footed, but in the end he just runs out of pitch and ends up in a heap.
44'
Holebas takes the free-kick left-footed, and curls it straight into Leno's waiting gloves. Watford should have made something of that, the free-kick was in an awkward position to the right of the penalty area.
43'
S. Kolašinac gets yellow.
Luiz gives Maitland-Niles a job to do with a high pass out to the right-back, and Deulofeu robs him of the ball. Watford work the ball over to Hughes on the right, and Kolasinac slides in on him late. He gets the first yellow card of the afternoon.
41'
Ozil again pops up on the right, but this time the pass towards him is heavy and he can't keep it in play. With Pepe and Aubameyang ahead of him, there might have been an opportunity to kill the game off there, if the pass into Ozil had been more measured.
40'
The corner is fairly easily dealt with and Ozil looks to carry the ball away down the left, but he is hounded by Deulofeu and passes it out of play. Arsenal eventually regroup and take control of possession again.
39'
Cleverley feeds the ball behind for Doucoure, making a run infield from the right touchline, but Xhaka is there to snuff out the danger and stab it out for a corner.
38'
Hughes cuts back and attempts a left-footed cross from the right, but Sokratis powers a header clear. The away side haven't looked too troubled by Watford's crossing game today, with Troy Deeney badly missed.
35'
Hughes attempts a first-time side-footed finish from Femenia's cross from the right, but he scuffs it slightly and it goes wide of the near post.
34'
Again, the goal came somewhat out of nowhere but the visitors have just made their extra quality show when it has mattered. A difficult half-time team talk for Flores lies ahead.
Deulofeu and Cleverley combine well around the penalty area as Watford look to hit back, but the former can't find a shooting angle and the latter's cross towards the far post is cleared away.
32'
P. Aubameyang has scored a goal for Arsenal! Assist by A. Maitland-Niles.
GOAL! Aubameyang again, it's 2-0! Ozil plays a lovely pass in behind for Maitland-Niles on the right, he fires the ball in low and Aubameyang is on hand to tap it in at the back post.
Maitland-Niles put it on a plate for Aubameyang and gets the assist, but real credit to Ozil for the pass into him. Lovely stuff from Arsenal again.
30'
Holebas bends in a cross from close to the left byline. There's a nice shape and power on the ball in, but the Arsenal defence deal with it and it's headed away from danger.
28'
Ozil is spending a lot of time out by the right touchline, and Watford are struggling to deal with the German out there alongside Maitland-Niles and Pepe. They look like they've identified that left-back area as a potential weak spot in the home side today.
27'
Xhaka gets a good foot in as Watford look to build an attack. The home side have generally had the more threatening possession in this game so far but with Pepe and Aubameyang up front, there is always the risk of a counter from the Gunners.
25'
Watford looked a little rattled straight after the goal, Arsenal winning the ball back almost immediately, but they're putting their foot on the ball and holding onto it for the moment. Is there a response on the way?
24'
Arsenal haven't exactly been on top here, but those moments can be the difference in these games. Aubameyang has been just lethal this season.
21'
P. Aubameyang has scored a goal for Arsenal! Assist by S. Kolašinac.
Pepe gets the ball in a similar position on the right and this time looks to slide the ball across the line of the penalty area, but his ball is easily cut out.
GOAL! 1-0 ARSENAL! One chance is all Aubameyang needs! Arsenal win the ball on the half-way line, Kolasinac drives forward and finds Aubameyang in a pocket of space at the edge of the area. He controls brilliantly, spins and pokes it into the bottom-left corner with his right foot. Great goal.
Kolasinac gets a good assist. He helped win the ball on halfway, and made a good run forward before delaying the pass to Aubameyang well.
20'
Guendouzi does well to control a risky dinked pass at the edge of his own area and Arsenal break upfield. Pepe gets the ball on the right, drifts infield and looks to shoot towards the far post with his left foot, but it floats a yard or so wide. Foster didn't look too concerned.
19'
Again, the Arsenal defenders back off Deulofeu - they seem scared to commit in case he gets past them. This time, he opts to pass and Watford work the ball out to Hughes on the right, but the attack breaks down.
18'
Ceballos tricks his way into the area, just to the left of the D and tries to chip a little pass into Aubameyang. The ball is intercepted in a crowd, though, and the home side can clear.
16'
Watford win a corner over on the left. The delivery looks a fairly threatening one, right into a crowded six-yard box, but a free-kick eventually goes to Arsenal. There's plenty of pushing and shoving in there but it looks like an accidental handball from Kabasele.
15'
Arsenal play the ball from left to right, Ozil finds Pepe in space to play a low ball into the area but it's cleared fairly easily. Still no clear-cut chances for the away side here.
14'
Deulofeu is causing all sorts of problems for Maitland-Niles on the left wing. He beats him inside the area and plays the ball back for Holebas, who fires well over from the edge of the box when he should probably do better. He looked caught in two minds between power and placement and ended up with neither.
12'
The corner is cleared but it drops to Deulofeu over on the left flank. He plays the ball inside for Cleverley to shoot again, but his curling effort towards the bottom-right corner is easily saved this time.
10'
Gray threatens to combine with Cleverley, but there's a heavy touch from the former and he ends up fouling Kolasinac just inside the centre circle.
8'
Ozil looks towards the back post, but Dawson is there to head clear and Arsenal will look to build from the back again. Ceballos finds Ozil with a nice lofted pass out to the right touchline, but the away side are happy to play it around in midfield for the time being.
7'
Deulofeu drifts in from the left and curls a right-footed shot towards the far post, but Leno claims it easily enough after a slight fumble. He had Holebas overlapping on that left wing, and the Greek may well have been the better option.
Maitland-Niles puts in a low cross which looks to be put behind for a corner, but Holebas catches him late. It looks a fairly painful one but the right-back is up on his feet and Ozil has a free-kick to deliver, to the right of the penalty area.
6'
Luiz gets a foot in as Hughes looks to fire in a low cross from the right. No big chances to speak of in the first five minutes, but this looks set up to be a good game.
5'
Dawson attempts a ball over the top for Gray to chase, but his pass has too much on it and this time Leno watches it behind. The Arsenal back four were positioned fairly deep, so the pass would have to have been inch-perfect.
4'
Pepe and Aubameyang look to combine for the first time, the former playing a disguised pass in behind, but it's overhit and Foster can watch it out for a goal-kick.
3'
Kabasele attempts a switch of play but it's intercepted by Kolasinac, who drives forward and looks to set Pepe free down the right. Dawson does well to slide and intercept.
2'
Arsenal enjoy a bit of possession to start the game off, as you might have expected. They're probing from left to right, feeling out Watford's set-up. Deulofeu does well to rob the ball in midfield and gets past one man down the left, but is then tackled.
1'
We're off! Aubameyang gets the ball rolling, as Flores accepts a warm reception from the home fans. He's clearly still liked here, and it's a lovely afternoon for his first game back.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live coverage of Watford against Arsenal at Vicarage Road. Kick-off is set for 16:30 local time, so stick with us for live commentary, stats and analysis throughout the game!
Watford are, of course, going back to the future in their first game following the sacking of Javi Gracia. Quique Sanchez Flores is back in the hotseat but with Arsenal looking good at times this season, he could be in for a difficult first day back on the job.
WATFORD (4-2-3-1): Ben Foster; Jose Holebas, Craig Dawson, Christian Kabasele, Kiko Femenia; Etienne Capoue, Abdouaye Doucoure; Gerard Deulofeu, Tom Cleverley, Will Hughes; Andre Gray.
ARSENAL (4-3-3): Bernd Leno; Sead Kolasinac, David Luiz, Sokratis, Ainsley Maitland-Niles; Granit Xhaka, Matteo Guendouzi, Dani Ceballos; Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe.
SUBS: Emiliano Martinez, Calum Chambers, Lucas Torreira, Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka.
Right then! The stage is set, the sun is shining, and the players are on their way out of the tunnel. A new manager boost for Watford, or back to winning ways for Arsenal?
Watford have been far from terrible here but they need to find a way of threatening other than Deulofeu's dribbling. Aside from that, they've looked blunt, and Arsenal have dealt with everything they've thrown at them fairly easily.
There were more questions than answers for Emery in that game. Ozil had a good first half and looked lost in the second, his midfield were consistently overpowered and Deulofeu had the Gunners' back line on strings. Flores will have been delighted with what he has seen on the whole, and will be confident of turning his side's poor early-season form around.
That's it from us here today, we hope you've enjoyed the game as much as we have. Arsenal travel to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday before a home fixture with Aston Villa next weekend, while Watford's reward for a good performance is a nice easy trip to Manchester City. Play like they did in the second half here, and they'll cause the champions a problem or two.
