Is there one final chance in this? Spurs are on the attack through Lamela, who passes wide to Eriksen, on to Walker-Peters, but the final cross is poor.
Minute
Description
90'
We're into four minutes of added time as penalties now loom large.
89'
CHANCE! Senior cuts inside from the right and drives straight at the heart of the Spurs defence, setting himself up with a chance. His left-footed shot has the power, but not the accuracy as it goes wide.
87'
This game is just opening up a little more as Spurs go in search of a late winner. It's leaving gaping spaces in behind the defence, something Colchester could take advantage of if Spurs aren't careful.
85'
Really nice interplay between Alli, Son and Lucas sets Alli up with a shooting chance from outside the box, but Norris chucks himself in front of it to make the block!
Colchester can counter from this, Senior one-on-one with Sanchez, but the centre-back isn't having any of it and nicks the ball off his opponent easily.
83'
Lapslie wins a loose ball in Spurs territory and lays it off to Cowan-Hall to line up a shot, but it's weak and he drags it wide of the post. That's a let off for Spurs, who are increasingly sloppy at the back.
81'
There's a chance for Lamela from outside the box, but his shot takes a deflection off Lapslie which takes all the power out of it and makes it easy for Gerken to collect.
79'
Colchester have a chance to attack, Senior flicking the ball up and over Wanyama to create space, but his pass inside is poor and Gazzaniga gets rid.
78'
É. Lamela enters the game and replaces O. Skipp.
L. Norris enters the game and replaces B. Stevenson.
Final change for Colchester as Stevenson comes off for Norris.
Pochettino also makes his final change, bringing on Lamela for Skipp.
75'
Spurs are camped in the Colchester half for the monent and work the ball wide to Son on the left. He cuts inside and unleashes a typical Son effort towards the far corner, but it's wide by some distance.
72'
Here's Colchester with a free-kick at the halfway line. They're not looking to send this into the box though, instead playing it short and trying to build from the back. It puts them under pressure immediately, leading to a Son cross flashed across the six-yard box - but no one can get a touch to it!
68'
J. Brown enters the game and replaces L. Gambin.
Colchester make their second change of the game, withdrawing Gambin for Brown.
66'
C. Eriksen enters the game and replaces T. Parrott.
Son Heung-Min enters the game and replaces J. Tanganga.
Speak of the devil and he shall appear! Son is introduced with Tanganga sacrificed. A very solid debut from the youngster.
Eriksen is brought on too, with Parrott coming off! He struggled up front, but there's still plenty to come from the 17-year-old. Don't forget the name.
64'
Walker-Peters gets a yard on his marker and finds space for a low cross, but Bramall turns it behind for a corner. It's Davies to take again and Colchester aren't troubled by the delivery.
56'
P. Cowan-Hall gets yellow.
Here are Colchester with a chance to attack now. Cowan-Hall is in space out on the right, but Senior's pass is too short and forces Cowan-Hall to take Davies out to prevent him breaking into space.
Cowan-Hall is shown a yellow card for that foul.
54'
Good play from Nouble to use his body to shield the ball and draw a foul from Sanchez. It's just inside the Spurs half, but perhaps it's a chance to get a ball into the box. Cowan-Hall sends it in, but Spurs clear.
52'
CHANCE! Dier picks Parrott out with a cross to the near post, but the striker dinks his effort wide and doesn't test Gerken.
51'
It's Davies to take the set piece and he crosses towards the back post, but it's cleared once more.
50'
P. Cowan-Hall enters the game and replaces R. Jackson.
Jackson's game is over as he makes way for Cowan-Hall.
49'
They have a corner now though. It's Bramall to take towards the near post, but Spurs clear and have a chance to break through Lucas. He's tackled once inside the box and the ball drops to Parrott, but he can't get a clean shot away.
46'
KICK-OFF! Colchester get the game restarted, perhaps more confident after going 45 minutes without conceding.
45' +1
HALF-TIME: COLCHESTER 0-0 TOTTENHAM.
45'
Wonderful play from Skipp to beat his marker and dart towards the box, but Lucas makes a hash of his pass which allows Colchester a chance to clear.
43'
It looks as though Spurs have moved to a back three, Dier joining Sanchez and Tanganga. This gives Davies and Walker-Peters a lot more freedom to push higher up the pitch, the aim being to create overloads out wide against the Colchester fullbacks.
41'
Skipp finds Dier on the right with space to cross, but Eastman this time gets to the ball first and heads it away - it wasn't the best effort from Dier.
39'
This is better from Spurs, Parrott finding Walker-Peters with space on the right, but again Colchester keep their shape and usher them towards the sideline and out of play.
36'
Alli tries a chipped throughball into Lucas, but he's just so casual about it and his pass goes straight into Gerken's arms. It's a bit too easy for Colchester to defend at the moment and there's a real lack of movement from the Spurs forwards!
32'
It's Senior against Sanchez and the Colchester winger gets the better of the centre-back this time, creating space to try a throughball, but it's cut out.
30'
Here's a good chance for Spurs - they have a free-kick in a dangerous position just outside the box. Can they make something of this? Almost! Lucas strikes it well and forces a good save from Gerken with the first shot on target of the game.
29'
Colchester have a good chance to counter on Spurs here, but Wanyama is alert and cuts it out before they make any significant ground.
27'
Lucas very nearly picks out Parrott with a great throughball, but the striker's touch takes it away from him and into Gerken's hands. That's a nice run from the teenage striker though!
24'
Davies delivers, but he's put too much whip on the ball and it lands safely on the top of the net - a very unthreatening effort.
23'
Walker-Peters is away down the right and Skipp picks him out with a good pass, drawing a foul from Bramall. He's taking no chances against the rampaging right-back. Let's see what they can do with this.
21'
Wanyama concedes the first foul of the game with a slightly cynical tug on Senior. A nice touch took him away from the Spurs midfielder there!
19'
CHANCE! Skipp bursts into the box and picks out Alli with a cutback, but he drags it too far across goal and the ball drifts past the wrong side of the post. He should be hitting the target at least!
18'
He scored a fantastic long range shot against Olympiacos in the Champions League last week and Moura tries his luck again from distance, but Stevenson gets in the way.
16'
Parrott gets involved for the first time with a low shot from the left of the box aimed at the bottom-right corner, but it takes a slight touch off a Colchester defender and rolls out for a corner.
12'
Wanyama wide to Davies, back inside to Alli. Spurs are moving the ball, but it's not hugely threatening and Colchester are quite comfortable at the back so far. Of course, though, it's only 12 minutes in and everything can change in a flash.
10'
Jackson lines up a long throw into the box, but Tanganga rises high and gets his head to it to set up a Spurs counter.
8'
Davies tries to pick out Alli with a long pass over the defence, but the ball is too strong and rolls through to Gerken. It's a classic Spurs move and it's encouraging to see Alli making these probing runs into the box early on here.
6'
This time Walker-Peters does get his cross away, but Lapslie is back in the box to get it clear. It looks like Walker-Peters is going to get a lot of joy down this right side.
5'
Lucas into Skipp, out wide to Walker-Peters. He tries to beat Bramall one-on-one to make his way into the box, but the Colchester left-back is strong and doesn't let him pass.
3'
Colchester have a chance to break with Nouble running into space behind the defence, but the pass into him is overhit and Gazzaniga is off his line to regain possession for the away side.
1'
KICK-OFF! Spurs get this third round tie underway.
Spurs are on the front foot immediately, Alli playing in Walker-Peters on the right of the box, but his cross is blocked for a corner.
Colchester beat Swindon and then knocked out Crystal Palace on penalties to earn themselves this tie - but they’ve been underwhelming in League Two, sitting 10th. Perhaps they’ll fancy themselves for a cup run, particularly against a Spurs side short of confidence and without a win on the road in nine games since January.

Hello everyone and welcome to our coverage of this EFL Cup third round tie between Colchester United and Tottenham.
This is more a case of Spurs playing badly than Colchester playing well. They just haven't put their hosts under any real pressure and their lack of movement around the box hasn't helped. The strategy seems to be to play through the flanks - Walker-Peters has had ample crossing opportunities - but that isn't bearing much fruit. Playing through the centre doesn't seem hugely viable either given the lack of a central focal point, with Parrott often dropping deep to link play.
We're into penalties between Colchester and Tottenham after a really poor performance from the visitors saw them test Gerken very rarely. Lucas found the target with a free-kick in the first half and Walker-Peters saw an effort hit the post after the break, but Spurs should really have put this game to bed without needing penalties to do so.
NORRIS BURIES IT! Colchester go one up! Norris tucks his penalty into the bottom-left corner!
RELIEF FOR SPURS! A big moment for Alli as he steps up to take his penalty and he just about scores, his penalty hitting the post before going in!
NOUBLE SCORES! It's Nouble next and he gets lucky! His penalty hits Gazzaniga's legs but bounces up and over the line! 2-1 Colchester after two penalties apiece.
WHAT A HIT! Lamela makes no mistake, smashing his penalty into the top-right corner. Gerken has no chance with that. 2-2.
GAZZANIGA SAVES! That's a huge stop as he keeps Brown's penalty out!
SPURS GO AHEAD! Son is cool, calm and composed as he shoots low into the bottom-left corner to make it 3-2 Spurs.
COLCHESTER DRAW LEVEL! Cowan-Hall brings Colchester level with a well-taken penalty, sending Gazzaniga the wrong way.
OFF THE BAR! It's Lucas up next and he hits the bar!!!! Colchester have the chance to go through with their next kick! 3-3 with one kick remaining.
COLCHESTER GO THROUGH! Lepslie sends Colchester into the fourth round!!!!! They win 4-3!
That's all from us as Colchester go through to the EFL Cup fourth round on penalties. Until next time, goodbye!
Ecstasy for Colchester, but pure misery for Spurs. They're out of the EFL Cup and another chance for Pochettino to win his first trophy evades him. But on a grander scale, this performance and result raises even more questions about Spurs. That's now 10 games on the road without a win and just two victories in all competitions this season with Southampton next on the weekend. Meanwhile, a buoyant Colchester return to League Two action against Macclesfield.
Tottenham were unsuccessful the last time they were involved in a penalty shoot-out, losing 6-3 to Chelsea in the semi-final of last year's EFL Cup. Colchester actually beat Premier League opposition on penalties in the previous round - they won 5-4 at Selhurst Park.
SAVED! It's Eriksen up first against Gerken and it's saved low to the keeper's right! Advantage Colchester!
