70'
G. Wijnaldum has scored a goal for Liverpool!
GOAL! 1-0 LIVERPOOL! Liverpool get a stroke of luck they scarcely deserve. Wijnaldum drives a low shot from outside the box towards the centre of the goal. It should be a routine save for Dean Henderson, but the keeper somehow spills it and it rolls into the net! That's cruel on Sheffield United, who've played so well so far.

26'
Alexander-Arnold plays an aimless pass straight towards O'Connell. No threat there. Liverpool get the ball back and Salah cuts inside to roll a low shot wide of Dean Henderson's right-hand post.

6'
United show the first signs of their famous overlapping centre-backs as O'Connell almost wins a throw down the left. It's given Liverpool's way - the home fans aren't impressed.
5'
Understandably, United's back three is looking more like a back five early on with their wing-backs staying deep against Salah and Mane. Liverpool are having to be patient.

Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of this Premier League clash between Sheffield United and Liverpool at Sheffield United's home ground Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United's decent start to their Premier League campaign continues after they nabbed a clinical win away to Everton last week. However, Everton's cross-city rivals Liverpool - the European champions, don't forget - are a rather more challenging prospect.
Liverpool have never won at Bramall Lane in the Premier League before. However, the current league leaders will surely view this game against newly promoted opponents as a chance to go eight points clear at the top of the table, at least for a few hours. Let's see how they fare!
SHEFFIELD UNITED (3-5-2): Dean Henderson; Chris Basham, John Egan, Jack O'Connell; George Baldock, John Lundstram, Oliver Norwood, John Fleck, Enda Stevens; Oliver McBurnie, Callum Robinson.
SUBS: Phil Jagielka, Luke Freeman, Muhamed Besic, Ben Osborn, Simon Moore, Lys Mousset, Leon Clarke.
LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Adrian; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Andrew Robertson; Jordan Henderson (c), Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane.
SUBS: Joseph Gomez, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner, Caoimhin Kelleher, Divock Origi.
Liverpool return to Anfield to play Leicester next week while Sheffield United travel to Watford. On this evidence, they both can have plenty of hope for the rest of this season. That's all for now. Goodbye!
