Costa bends his run and is played through one-on-one, only to blaze the shot across the face of goal. The offside flag eventually goes up, anyway.
90' +2
Kubo cannot quite bring the ball under control at the back post when at full stretch. Mallorca are desperately seeking a goal but have quite simply lacked cutting edge in the final third.
90' +1
Lago throws himself at a right-sided cross and gets his head to it. The ball comes off Trippier and goes behind for a corner, which Mallorca fail to make the most of.
89'
Oblak takes no chances as he slaps the ball to the edge of the penalty area when it arrives in his six-yard box. Kubo turns down the chance to shoot and that proves the wrong choice, with his pass easily dealt with.
87'
Costa is a little too clever with his attempted back-heeled pass inside the penalty area and the visitors intercept the ball.
86'
WAYWARD! Trippier sends a free-kick towards Costa, who is beaten to it in the air by Raillo. Atletico settle for the corner, which Gimenez hammers over the crossbar when it falls to his feet in the box.
84'
Relegation-bound Mallorca are refusing to give up. Kubo thinks he is in behind down the left, only for the offside flag to go up on the far side.
80'
T. Partey enters the game and replaces Saúl.
The points now very much in the bag, Simeone introduces Thomas in place of Saul.
Baba, arguably at fault for that third Atleti goal, makes way for Chavarria in the visitors' final change of the match.
79'
P. Chavarría enters the game and replaces I. Baba.
GOOOOAAAAALLLL!!! ATLETICO 3-0 MALLORCA! This is a little harsh on the visitors as Atletico bag themselves a third goal. Baba's weak headed clearance falls kindly for Koke and the midfielder leaves Reina wrong-footed with his drilled volley, which takes a telling touch off Raillo on its way through.

Description
78'
Koke has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid!
With less than 15 minutes to play at the Wanda Metropolitano, it is time for the second drinks break of the game.
76'
Lago is unable to get his head to a dangerous cross. He has a second bite at the cherry moments later when the ball is pulled back to him, but his shot is blocked before it can reach the target.
72'
Atletico are starting to find their groove again, having sat off in the opening 20 minutes of the second half. They work the ball down the left and have the chance to cross it, but instead it is played all the way back into their own half.
70'
Abdón Prats enters the game and replaces C. Hernández.
The fourth of Mallorca's five available changes sees Abdon come on for Hernandez.
Sastre is on for Gamez in the latest of Mallorca's substitutions.
69'
Joan Sastre enters the game and replaces Fran Gámez.
WIDE! Costa brings down Trippier's floated delivery and, despite losing his footing, gets a shot away on the floor with his third touch. The effort is well off target, though.
68'
Diego Costa gets yellow.
Costa catches Baba in the neck with a stray elbow and enters the referee's book.
65'
Atletico do not deal with the initial corner and Sevilla fires over from outside the box. The hosts have to be careful here - they are inviting too much pressure onto themselves.
64'
Mallorca have edged possession in the opening 64 minutes - 53 per cent to Atletico's 47 - but Oblak is not being troubled. Atleti are the kings of holding onto leads, as another cross from the right is again cut out.
62'
Renan Lodi enters the game and replaces Manu Sánchez.
Diego Costa enters the game and replaces Álvaro Morata.
This match is becoming incredibly stop-start now due to the breaks in play. Two-goal Morata makes way for Costa.
Lodi is on for Sanchez at left-back with a little over an hour played.
61'
SHOT! Kubo reaches the byline before bringing the ball back inside. He thumps a powerful effort towards goal and it strikes Gimenez high on the chest - the Atletico man initially stays down but is soon back to his feet.
60'
Mallorca have been the better side since the restart and have created the only two openings of the half so far, without managing to take either of them. Atleti seem to be happy to sit back and protect what they have.
57'
Salva Sevilla enters the game and replaces Aleix Febas.
L. Junior enters the game and replaces A. Trajkovski.
Moreno turns to his bench for the first time today by bringing on Lago for Trajkovski.
Febas is replaced by Perez in the second of Mallorca's changes.
55'
Vitolo enters the game and replaces Y. Carrasco.
Make that a double change as Vitolo is on for Carrasco.
54'
Á. Correa enters the game and replaces João Félix.
Correa replaces Joao Felix in Atletico's first substitution of the contest.
53'
DRAGGED WIDE! Pozo creates some space down the right with some superb play and pulls the ball back for Hernandez. The Watford loanee has a clean shot at goal but drags the effort wide of the far post.
51'
BLOCK! Trajkovski pulls the trigger from the edge of the box but Gimenez throws himself on top of the ball to make the block - great defending!
49'
Llorente, who set up Atletico's second goal, brings the ball under control right on the byline with a nice touch but cannot pick out a team-mate in the centre.
48'
Mallorca work the ball well in the final third and create some space for themselves down the right. Carrasco helps out defensively by getting back and halting the opposition attack inside his own box.
46'
RESTART! Atletico get us back up and running. Neither coach made any changes at the interval, so it is as you were in that regard.
45' +5
HALF-TIME: ATLETICO MADRID 2-0 REAL MALLORCA
45' +4
Álvaro Morata has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid! Assist by Marcos Llorente.
GOAAAALLLL!!! ATLETICO 2-0 MALLORCA!! Morata doubles both his and Atletico's tally right at the end of the first half with a simple tap-in. Atletico crowd out Trajkovski and Llorente is set free in a right-sided position inside the box. He looks up and squares the ball for Morata to convert.
A quick give-and-go set Llorente free and he did well to pick out team-mate Morata a few yards from goal in the centre.
45' +3
Morata peels away from Baba and brings the ball down in the box, but the flag goes up for offside - the correct call.
45' +2
Llorente turns his man in the box but runs out of space to run into and the ball goes out for a goal-kick. Llorente and Carrasco have been heavily involved in this first half.
45'
Four minutes have been added on at the end of a pretty frenetic first half.
44'
Saúl gets yellow.
Saul is cautioned for a challenge on Febas. This has been another promising spell for the visiting side, who trail to a Morata penalty.
42'
Sedlar's powerful volley from the edge of the box strikes one of his own team-mates in the back. The visitors need to make these spells of possession count for something.
41'
Sanchez is once again picked out in some space down the Atletico left. He does well to roll the ball across the box to Carrasco, who cuts inside and has a shot from 18 yards blocked.
39'
Mallorca's spell on top ends without them managing to test Oblak in the Atleti goal. Simeone's side are happy to slowly knock the ball around now that they have the lead.
37'
Atletico have adopted a defensive mindset since going a goal ahead. Pozo carries the ball high up the pitch but does not have any options in the middle. The ball is worked out to the left and back to the right, with the cross eventually being dealt with by Savic.
35'
The visitors are looking quite steady in possession now. They cannot afford to feel sorry for themselves, with this game very much alive as we fast approach half-time.
33'
We are back underway at the Wanda Metropolitano. Atletico are good value for their one-goal lead, though it did come in somewhat fortuitous circumstances.
31'
Mallorca's players are furious with the referee's decision to let Morata retake the penalty. Joao Felix squanders another presentable opportunity, and there will now be a short break in play for both teams to take on some water.
29'
Penalty goal scored by Álvaro Morata for Atletico Madrid!
GOOOOAAAAALLLL!!! ATLETICO 1-0 MALLORCA!! Morata makes no mistake with this second penalty, thumping the ball into the top-left corner. There is no stopping that!
26'
A. Sedlar gets yellow.
Sedlar is shown a yellow card for that poor piece of defending. Can Morata punish him by converting from 12 yards?
20'
Atletico are continuing to probe away in search of an opener. Mallorca have a chance to regroup following Morata's clumsy challenge on Pozo, which leads to a free-kick being awarded.
17'
That last move was undoubtedly Atletico's best of the bench, with Sanchez doing well to remain in an onside position.
14'
Mallorca have relieved the pressure by getting the ball forward and keeping hold of it for a bit. However, a stray pass is pounced on and Atleti get bodies forward - Carrasco's shot being blocked at the end of the swift counter.
12'
SHOT! Atletico are looking particularly lively down their right. Llorente is dispossessed by Gamez, however, and that sparks a Mallorca counter that culminates in Kubo's shot from range being easily dealt with by Oblak.
8'
Morata tries to flick the ball in behind for Llorente down the right. He gets too much on the pass, though, and it trickles out for a goal-kick.
7'
Atleti are in complete control of possession in the early stages, pretty much as expected. The visitors will no doubt be aiming to keep things tight for as long as possible.
5'
Llorente races into the box and looks ready to shoot. He elects to hold the ball up instead and pull it back for a team-mate, but the first-time cross is dealt with by Mallorca.
3'
Atletico win a free-kick out on the right-hand side. Trippier floats it towards the penalty spot but Savic cannot quite get on the end of it.
1'
KICK-OFF! Mallorca, looking to give their survival hopes a major boost by recording back-to-back victories, get us up and running.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the LaLiga meeting between Atletico Madrid and Real Mallorca at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Atletico have been in good form since returning to LaLiga action last month, most recently drawing 2-2 away at Barcelona in midweek to make it 14 points collected from the 18 on offer. Diego Simeone's men have climbed into third in the division and can move eight points clear of fifth-place Villarreal with victory today.
Mallorca are struggling at the opposite end of the division and are running out of time to drag themselves out of the bottom three. Vicente Moreno's side ended a five game winless run in style last time out by thrashing Celta Vigo 5-1, however, and can move to within two points of 17th-place Celta should they pick up a surprise victory in the Spanish capital.
Subs: Antonio Adan, Toni Moya, Diego Costa, Alvaro Garcia, Santiago Arias, Renan Lodi, Vitolo, Thomas Partey, Ivan Saponjic, Hector Herrera, Angel Correa, Thomas Lemar.
ATLETICO XI (4-4-2): Jan Oblak; Kieran Trippier, Jose Gimenez, Stefan Savic, Manuel Sanchez; Yannick Carrasco, Saul Niguez, Koke (c), Marcos Llorente; Joao Felix, Alvaro Morata.
MALLORCA XI (4-4-2): Manolo Reina (c); Fran Gamez, Aleksander Sedlar, Antonio Raillo, Alejandro Pozo; Dani Rodriguez, Iddrisu Baba, Aleix Febas, Aleksandar Trajkovski; Juan Hernandez, Takefusa Kubo.
Subs: Joan Sastre, Jesus Ruiz Suarez, Pablo Chavarria, Lago Junior, Miquel Parera, Fran Gonzalez, Yannis Salibur, Abdon Prats, Salva Sevilla, Luka Romero, Xisco Campos, Josep Sene.
The teams are coming out onto the pitch at the Wanda Metropolitano, with kick-off just moments away. This match will be played behind closed doors, as will every other LaLiga game for the foreseeable future.
Simeone will be pleased that his side have a bit of breathing space at the break, but Mallorca have seen a fair bit of the ball and had a couple of opportunities of their own. The hosts have plenty of options on the bench should they wish to use them, with Thomas, Costa, Correa and Lemar among their back-ups.
That's all for today's live coverage. Thanks for joining, goodbye!
Simeone's side return to action next Tuesday with a trip to Celta Vigo, while Mallorca have a six-day rest before hosting Levante.
