Hello and welcome to live match coverage of the Europa League round of 16 second-leg fixture between Rangers and Slavia Prague at Ibrox Stadium.
The teams are out, and kick-off will soon be upon us here at Ibrox Stadium.
After Gerrard's side drew the first leg, the Gers extended their unbeaten run in this season's Europa League to nine matches. Regarding their home form, the newly-crowned Scottish Premiership champions have lost just once in their previous 23 home matches in Europe, with that defeat coming at this stage of the competition against Bayer Leverkusen last season. The visitors, on the other hand, have not suffered defeat in their last 18 games in all competitions. However, on the road in this tournament, Jindrich Trpisovsky’s team have conceeded eight goals in four matches.
Gerrard will not be happy with his team's first-half performance, and will be looking for a response after the break. Kent has looked the most likely to make something happen for the home side, although Slavia Prague have been quick to press him whenever he has received the ball. Trpisovsky, on the other hand, will be delighted by what the Reds and Whites offered in the first half. Stanciu continually picked up pockets of space, while Olayinka and Sima have caused problems with their pace.
Rangers will look to bounce back from this disappointing defeat in their next Scottish Premiership outing. They face Celtic at Celtic Park. Slavia Prague, who find out their quarter-final opponents on March 19th, host Opava in their upcoming Czech First League game.
That brings an end to our coverage of the Europa League round of 16 second-leg clash between Rangers and Slavia Prague at Ibrox Stadium. Thank you very much for joining us. Goodbye!
