H. Barnes has scored a goal for Leicester City! Assist by J. Maddison.
Maddison adds an assist to his earlier goal, contributing to two of Leicester's four strikes today.
BARNES MAKES IT FOUR AND THIS TIME IT COUNTS! 4-1! Maddison occupies a pocket of space in midfield and turns rapidly before finding Barnes on the edge of the penalty area. Similar to Iheanacho’s earlier goal, Barnes stops his movement to earn space ahead of a defender before putting it on his favoured right foot and picking out the bottom corner!

Conte makes another change, with new signing Danjuma replacing Kulusevski on the right wing.

Another foul, another yellow card. This time the referee produces the booking for Barnes, who caught the top of Tanganga’s foot during a failed attempt to control the ball.
65'
P. Sarr enters the game and replaces R. Bentancur.
It appeared as though Bentancur was attempting to get back on the pitch after the initial injury, but the decision has been taken out of his hands as Sarr comes on to take his spot in midfield.
Play restarts but not a minute later, Hojbjerg is down holding his ankle. It doesn’t appear to be a serious one for the Denmark international, but it does buy his side some time to prepare a substitute.
63'
Dier has gone over to help console his team-mate, who is still down in what looks to be terrible discomfort. More members of the medical team have come running onto the pitch one by one, while the stretcher is prepared. It seems - in somewhat positive news - that the player won’t need to be carried off as he limps to the touchline.

Bentancur goes knee-on-knee with Mendy during an attempt to win the ball and immediately drops to the floor in pain. The medical staff have come onto the pitch to look at the player, while Conte looks on in worry.
59'
K. Dewsbury-Hall gets yellow.
Bentancur gets the wrong side of Dewsbury-Hall and looks to accelerate past his opponent but a tug of the jersey brings the Uruguay international’s progress to a halt. It’s a yellow card for the Leicester midfielder - the fifth booking of the game.
58'
Barnes and Kristansen link up effectively down the left wing, with the full-back playing a defence-splitting pass for his team-mate. Driving towards the byline, Barnes cuts inside and hits a low shot towards goal that’s saved smartly by the legs of Forster.

Play is stopped temporarily after the foul, with Maddison in need of some treatment. It appears to be a bit of a dead leg for the Leicester captain, who will try his best to run off the injury.
55'
E. Dier gets yellow.
Dier is called over by the referee, who shows him a yellow card for a painful, tactical foul in midfield on Maddison.

52'
Bentancur whacks a shot from 24 yards out, stinging the hands of Ward, who takes the power out of the effort before gathering it with his second touch.
51'
Porro plays Kulusevski behind the Leicester defence, but his centering pass to Kane leaves the striker with little in the way of options to keep the move going.

IHEANACHO GIVES LEICESTER SOME INSURANCE! 3-1! On the cusp of half-time, the striker makes his mark, adding a goal to his earlier assist with a lovely bit of skill. Souttar hoists a pass over the top of the midfield for Iheanacho, whose close-control dribbling takes him into the penalty area in the face of Dier. Once 18 yards away, the Nigeria international stops, puts it onto his left foot and curls a lovely strike around both the defender and goalkeeper!

The fourth official indicated that four minutes would be added to the end of the half for stoppages.

Porro delivers a cross through the legs of Faes from a position on the byline for Kulusevski, but Kristansen’s enthusiastic sliding challenge prevents the forward from taking a shot and allows Ward to smother possession.

25'
J. Maddison has scored a goal for Leicester City! Assist by K. Ịheanachọ.
MADDISON GIVES LEICESTER THE LEAD! TWO GOALS IN TWO MINUTES FOR THE FOXES! 2-1! The hosts win the ball back inside Spurs’ half, with Mendy's sliding challenge putting the ball right to the foot of Iheanacho. The striker turns and brings Forster off his line before unselfishly passing it to his left for Maddison to finish at the first time of asking!
Iheanacho's clever work to unsettle the goalkeeper allowed Maddison time and space to shoot, with the striker registering the assist on Leicester City's go-ahead goal.
23'
N. Mendy has scored a goal for Leicester City!
WHAT A HIT! 1-1! It’s an absolutely superb goal from Mendy, who smashes a first-time blast into the roof of the net leaving Forster absolutely no chance. Maddison’s corner is headed on at the near post by Dewsbury-Hall, only for Bentancur to deny the midfielder on the line. The Uruguay international heads it out but only towards Mendy, who latches onto the loose ball with conviction and unleashes a thunderbolt!
22'
Tete hits a speculative effort from a long way out but the shot fails to curl back towards the net, allowing Forster to collect the ball for a goal-kick.

Looking to take advantage of another set-piece, Son sends an inswinging corner into the penalty area. But this time, it fails to trouble Ward, who rises highest to get two hands to the delivery.
18'
Leicester will have to come back from behind for the second time in two matches if they wish to take anything from Spurs. They managed the trick on two separate occasions last week against Villa, who have the same defensive record as Conte’s team.
16'
The goal took quite a while to be verified, with VAR taking a look at every phase of the build-up to the opener. It first appeared as though Bentancur was in an offside position. But after careful review, it appears as though first contact was from a Leicester player, with the Uruguay international uninvolved until his side-footed finish.
14'

12'
W. Faes gets yellow.
Faes is shown a yellow card for a sliding challenge on Kane. The centre-back attempted to win the ball from a position behind the striker, with the Tottenham striker showing his experience in shielding the ball. The visitors are given a free-kick 24 yards from goal to test the goalkeeper.
10'
Porro and Barnes duel for an aerial ball in midfield but the Leicester winger is deemed to have been a little too aggressive, giving away a free-kick and causing his opponent to lose a shoe in the process.
8'
Maddison looks to curl a pass towards the left wing for Barnes but a well-placed Porro gets to the spot and promptly smashes it away for a Leicester throw.
6'
Maddison and Dewsbury-Hall work a free-kick from the training ground, with the captain laying it off to his team-mate before having possession returned to hit a first-time effort. It’s a clever routine but the shot fails to work Forster as it goes wide.
4'
R. Bentancur gets yellow.
The first yellow card of the match comes just four minutes in, with Bentancur cynically charging through the back of Barnes just outside the penalty area. The hosts are awarded a free-kick in a dangerous position to test Forster.

With 15 minutes to go before kick-off, let’s take a look at how the two sides are lining up - starting with our hosts!
An impressive win over Manchester City on Sunday made it back-to-back 1-0 wins for Spurs, who sit just one point off the final Champions League place. Antonio Conte returns to the touchline after surgery prevented him from overseeing the side in their last fixture; a match in which Harry Kane overtook Jimmy Greaves’ all-time scoring record for Spurs with his 267th strike.
Leicester registered their first win in six matches last weekend, coming from behind twice to overpower Aston Villa 4-2. In 14th place - just three points ahead of Everton in the relegation zone - the Foxes could also climb as high as 12th with a first win over Tottenham since 2020.
Conte certainly has options from the bench should he look to make changes to his XI, with Richarlison, Moura and newly signed Danjuma all ready to make an impact. Kulusevski looks the likeliest to make way, with Kane and Son always able to provide a moment of inspiration. Leicester will be extremely happy with their overall performance in the first half and will look to shut up shop in the second, with Ndidi and Amartey potential entrants to help hold the lead.
That concludes our commentary of the Premier League fixture between Leicester City and Tottenham! We hope you’ve enjoyed it!
Leicester face a trip to Manchester United in their next match in eight days’ time, while Tottenham play Milan in midweek Champions League action ahead of a London Derby at home against West Ham next Sunday.
