Roma get this Coppa Italia clash underway.
Well a warm welcome along to our live text commentary of tonight's Coppa Italia clash between Roma and Lazio from the Stadio Olimpico.
Tonight's game promises to be a cracker with these two rivals meeting again for a place in the final of the competition. Roma are up against it despite being at home, after losing the first leg 2-0 on March 1.
Goals from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile on that occasion have given Lazio the advantage and Simone Inzaghi's men are in fine form recently. Lazio are unbeaten in their last 10 matches and that form has allowed them to move up to fourth in the Serie A table.
Tonight's team news coming up...
Roma are also flying high in second and they have won four in a row in all competitions, with their last victory coming at the weekend. They secured a 2-0 win over Empoli and Luciano Spalletti will be expecting his side to carry that form on this evening.
Roma Starting XI (4-2-3-1): Alisson, Rudiger, Manolas, Juan Jesus, Emerson, Nainggolan, Paredes, Strootman, Mohamed Salah, Dzeko, El-Shaarawy.
Roma SUBS: Szczesny, Grenier, Perotti, Totti, Bruno Peres, Vermaelen, De Rossi, Lobont, Fazio, Mario Rui, Gerson
Lazio Starting XI (3-5-2): Strakosha, Bastos, De Vrij, Wallace, Basta, Milinkovic-Savic, Biglia, Lulic, Lukaku, Felipe Anderson, Immobile.
Spalletti is without wing-back Alessandro Florenzi for tonight's game through injury while Daniele De Rossi is dropped to the bench after picking up a back injury while on international duty. The fan favourite is replaced by Leandro Paredes. Midfielder Kevin Strootman is back in the fold after missing the Empoli win through suspension, while Alisson replaces Wojciech Szczesny.
Inzaghi is forced to make a change between the sticks, with Federico Marchetti being replaced by Thomas Strakosha. He is also without midfielder Marco Parolo due to suspension, while Felipe Anderson is handed a start in place of Balde Keita.
Kick off just moments away now...
HALF-TIME: Roma 1-1 Lazio.
The referee brings an entertaining first-half of football to a close and it's anyone's game now. Lazio took a shock lead to go 3-0 up on aggregate through Milinkovic-Savic but El Shaarawy responded just before half-time.
To be fair to Roma, they have been very positive tonight as they look to advance into the final. Spalletti's men have done everything they can to draw level on aggregate and a half-time team-talk could do them the world of good. As for Lazio, they need to break up play far more often before Roma find the back of the net again.
FULL-TIME Roma 3-2 Lazio...but it's the latter going through to the final.
Once again thanks for joining us tonight folks, goodbye!
Lazio advance then 3-4 on aggregate after a thrilling night of action from the Stadio Olimpico. Roma tried everything they could and ended Lazio's 10-match unbeaten streak but they wasted too many good opportunities in the first 45 minutes. Although they sat back, Inzaghi's men punished Roma on the counter and they can now look forward to the final.
