And there goes the final whistle! Huddersfield are safe! There are scenes of pure jubilation as the fans and players celebrate their continued Premier League status. Meanwhile, Chelsea look shattered as they lose yet more ground on the top four.
90' +6
Huddersfield win a free-kick on the edge of the Chelsea area and Rudiger is furious with the decision. The Terriers are within touching distance of safety!
90' +5
A long throw is flicked on by that man Giroud again, but Lossl catches hold of it easily and finds Depoitre deep in the Chelsea half with a fantastically accurate kick downfield. Precious seconds tick by.
90' +3
Giroud has a golden opportunity to take the ball down, swivel and shoot, but his touch lets him down at the vital moment!
90' +2
Caballero has a hairy moment playing the ball out to Rudiger, but the German finds Hazard, who slaloms his way right up to the edge of the box, beating several players all ends up, but his final pass is cut out!
90' +1
SIX minutes of added time here! Plenty of action left to come.
90'
MISS! Giroud tries a spectacular bicycle kick from inside the box, but fires it inches wide of the far post! That was so, so close to being a winning goal!
89'
SAVES! Lossl pulls out a fine pair of saves, first stopping Morata's powerful effort after a combination of Hazard and Giroud played him through, before reacting quickest to Willian's deflected strike.
88'
J. Lössl gets yellow.
Lossl takes an absolute age over a goal-kick, and is rightly shown a yellow card. Even after being booked, he still manages to take his time over the kick.
87'
Chelsea still pushing and probing, with Fabregas the chief architecht, but Huddersfield are standing firm.
Minute
Description
85'
S. Malone enters the game and replaces T. Smith.
Smith takes his time leaving the field to be replaced by Malone, much to the displeasure of Willian, who tries to usher him off a little quicker.
83'
POST! How did that not go in?! Rudiger, Azpilicueta and Christensen seem to take it in turns to smash the ball goalwards from six yards or so, and Christensen's header comes back off the post, but they just cannot get it into the back of the net! There will be some very anxious Swansea fans watching on here.
80'
Fabregas blasts the ball into a red shirt and behind for a corner, and Chelsea pepper the Huddersfield box with crosses, but are unable to make the most of any of them.
79'
Giroud is caught by Kongolo on the edge of the box, but the referee doesn't appear to see it and Huddersfield get away with one.
77'
Depoitre races onto a through-ball and barges Rudiger out of the way as it reaches the byline, but the referee blows his whistle for a foul as the striker thinks he's one-on-one.
76'
BLOCK! Some nice link-up play allows Morata the opportunity to turn and shoot, but he's denied by a wall of red shirts.
74'
Giroud tries to flick a team-mate in with his back to goal, but nobody reads it and it bobbles harmlessly clear of the area.
72'
Chelsea look long to Giroud, who takes it down well and holds it up before feeding Hazard, and the Belgian is fouled as he dances away from a couple of challenges.
68'
This game is getting incredibly stretched now, and there's mistakes from both sides. Willian's square ball to Alonso is left by the Spaniard, as he thinks there's a team-mate behind him. Huddersfield almost break clear, but Rudiger intervenes well.
66'
I imagine that wasn't the plan from the set piece. Willian's cross is blocked by an offside Christensen, much to the dejection of those in blue.
65'
Morata is bundled to the floor 25 yards from goal as the game becomes increasingly frantic. There's plenty of time left for another goal for either side.
62'
Marcos Alonso has scored a goal for Chelsea!
F. Hadergjonaj enters the game and replaces C. Löwe.
GOAL! Chelsea are level! Alonso scores it, but he doesn't know anything about it! Azpilicueta is free in acres on the right and fizzes a fantastic low cross into the box. Zanka tries to hack it clear, but only succeeds in smashing it into the back of the net via the face of Alonso! That's another mad goal! However, a point is still enough for the visitors to avoid the drop here.
Lowe comes off for Hadergjonaj as Wagner tries to cling on to their point and safety.
60'
Azplicueta - now playing at right-back - lofts an excellent cross towards Giroud, but it's just a touch too high for the burly Frenchman. That could be their clearest avenue towards goal here.
59'
E. Hazard enters the game and replaces Pedro.
This change has surely been coming. Pedro, who has been largely anonymous all game, is replaced by Hazard, the club's talisman.
57'
Willian is barged off the ball by Billing, who marauds down the left before attempting to switch the play to Pritchard, but the substitute is muscled off the ball.
54'
O. Giroud enters the game and replaces D. Zappacosta.
Now this is a signal of intent. Conte is going to a back four and playing with two central strikers, bringing Giroud on for Zappacosta. Can the Frenchman inspire a turnaround off the bench like he did against Southampton?
53'
A. Pritchard enters the game and replaces R. van La Parra.
Van La Parra is withdrawn for Pritchard, who will slot in as the supporting forward to Depoitre.
50'
L. Depoitre has scored a goal for Huddersfield Town!
GOAL! Huddersfield are ahead! It's come absolutely out of nowhere, and it's a controversial one to say the least. Willian is tackled in midfield, and Mooy pings a ball over the top for Depoitre to chase. Caballero comes charging out to the edge of the box and clashes with the striker, going to ground in pain, but the striker is alert to the loose ball and taps it into an empty net after Rudiger had slipped while trying to cover! It's a mad goal, but it could be a hugely significant one!
48'
MISS! Rudiger squanders another opportunity! Willian curls in a delightful free-kick from the right, and the centre-back rises highest to meet it, but can only head over the bar! The frustration is palpable amongst the Chelsea players.
46'
And we're off again at the start of the second half! No changes yet, but surely the likes of Hazard and Giroud will come on sooner rather than later if the hosts fail to score.
45' +2
Chelsea are not happy as the referee blows his whistle for half-time while Willian is getting in position to take a corner kick. But that's that and we go into the break at 0-0!
45' +1
Chelsea produce a lovely, flowing move as they sweep into the box with some one-touch football full of flicks, but Morata's final return pass to Willian is cut out and cleared.
45'
Alonso almost has the ball nicked by Mooy in a dangerous position, but gets away with it as the Australian's challenge gives Chelsea a throw-in.
41'
CHANCE! Massive chance for Chelsea! Morata is slipped in behind the defence for the first time this evening, and he pokes the ball round the onrushing Lossl, but it's a heavy touch that takes him to the byline! He desperately fires the ball back across the face of goal, but Kante just can't get there in time! The striker really should be making more of opportunities like that.
40'
Chelsea's wing-backs produce a pair of appalling crosses, as Zappacosta first hits the shins of the first man with his, before Alonso sends his straight out of play!
38'
Smith is down and receiving treatment after jumping to compete for a header with Alonso. It looks as though it's his knee that's causing him discomfort - perhaps he landed awkwardly.
35'
Fabregas' delivery is excellent again, but Christensen can't make a good connection with his head and Willian can't work any space, eventually being forced back to Rudiger.
34'
Pedro dallies in possession for far too long on the edge of the Huddersfield area, and gets away with winning a free-kick rather than gifting away possession.
32'
Fabregas cuts a frustrated figure as he floats a beautiful ball out to the left side of the box, where Willian and Alonso are waiting. However, the former fails to control it and the latter reacts too slowly, meaning the ball peters out for a goal-kick. Willian looks very uncomfortable on this flank.
31'
SAVE! Morata has his first real sight of goal after half an hour, but can only head a delightful right-wing cross straight at Lossl.
30'
Pedro and Willian swapped flanks about five minutes ago, and the Brazilian has struggled since. He seems to almost be trying too hard to cut in and produce the spectacular.
28'
Huddersfield curl in another free-kick through Mooy, but the delivery is again found wanting. This time it's a little short, and Chelsea regain possession and push on.
26'
Willian has a couple of minutes to forget as he's first crunched in his own half, and then tries an ambitious switch from the left flank that narrowly misses the corner flag on its way out for a goal-kick.
24'
Huddersfield win another free-kick, this time higher up and on the left, and they do loft it into the box for Depoitre, but Alonso wins his duel and gets it away.
21'
Kante goes on a spectacularly mazy dribble from the left wing, twisting and turning through a seemingly endless seas of defenders, before losing his balance at the byline and watching the ball run harmlessly out of play.
19'
Frustration for Huddersfield as they get a rare opportunity to throw bodies forward after winning a free-kick in the Chelsea half, but it's taken short down the line and the eventual cross is blocked. Waste of an opportunity there.
15'
CHANCE! Again, Chelsea come close. A corner comes in with pace from the left and Lossl spills amdist a crowd of blue shirts, but a Huddersfield defender gets there first to hack desperately clear!
12'
MISS! WHAT. A. MISS. Fabregas' corner is flicked on to the back post, and this time, Rudiger is there, unmarked, with the simple task of diverting the ball in from a couple of yards. Yet somehow, he fires it the wrong side of the post when it looked harder to miss! The centre-half has his head in his hands, and his team-mates don't look too pleased with him either.
11'
CHANCE! Willian, having taken a corner and had it headed back out to him, works himself a yard on the left and curls a delicious ball to the back post, but Rudiger just can't get there in time to divert it goalwards! The hosts are miles on top at the moment.
9'
MISS! Willian shows quick feet and great impetus to beat his man on the right and fizz a shot towards the far post, but he dragged it wide and Lossl wasn't troubled.
8'
Christensen is left to man the fort by himself as Azpilicueta and Rudiger wander forward into the Huddersfield half as the Blues try to break down their stubborn visitors.
6'
SAVE! Alonso gets free down the left-hand side and smashes one at Lossl's near post, but the Dane has it covered and keeps the powerful shot out.
5'
Chelsea's pressure wins them a corner, but Morata can't connect with it in the box under pressure and it runs harmlessly out of the box.
3'
Chelsea have had all of the ball early on, and Huddersfield's intentions here are very clear. They have had all 11 men back in their half since kick-off.
1'
And we're off at Stamford Bridge! The result of this game could have massive repercussions at both ends of the table.
Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of this crucial Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge.
The line-ups have been announced, and we'll start with the home side.
Chelsea XI (3-4-3): Willy Caballero; Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta; Marcos Alonso, N'Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, Davide Zappacosta; Pedro, Alvaro Morata, Willian
Chelsea substitutes: Eden Hazard, Olivier Giroud, Victor Moses, Ross Barkley, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Gary Cahill, Eduardo
Huddersfield XI (5-3-2): Jonas Lossl; Chris Lowe, Terence Kongolo, Christopher Schindler, Zanka, Tommy Smith; Aaron Mooy, Jonathan Hogg, Philip Billing; Laurent Depoitre, Rajiv van La Parra
Huddersfield substitutes: Steve Mounie, Joel Coleman, Scott Malone, Florent Hadergjonaj, Collin Quaner, Tom Ince, Alex Pritchard
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte makes six changes from his side's important 1-0 victory over Liverpool, dropping goalscorer Giroud and star man Hazard to the bench, along with Bakayoko, Moses and Cahill. Thibaut Courtois misses out altogether. Very odd from the Italian considering his side need to win if they are to stand a chance of sneaking into the top four.
In stark contrast, Huddersfield boss David Wagner makes just two changes from his side's creditable 0-0 draw against champions Manchester City, dropping Pritchard and Hadergjonaj to the bench in favour of Van La Parra and Billing.
Meanwhile, just one point is all the Terriers need from their final two games to avoid relegation and condemn Swansea to the drop, but Chelsea and Arsenal are probably not the two clubs Wagner would have wanted to face in this situation.
Despite the Blues' sub-par season, four league wins on the bounce has left them with an outside chance of making the top four, but they will likely require maximum points from their final two fixtures if they are to take advantage of any potential slip-ups from Tottenham or Liverpool.
It remains to be seen how prolific this Chelsea side - who have been accused of wastefulness this season - can be without top-scorer Hazard and January recruit Giroud, who has been benched for Morata despite the Spaniard's struggles since the turn of the year.
Chelsea have had 77% possession in this half, and really should be ahead after spurning two big chances. Rudiger's inexplicable miss at the back post was the most glaring, while Morata really should have made more of the only one-on-one of the half. Fabregas has been providing opportunities with some outstanding passes, but he's cut a frustrated figure as his team-mates have failed to capitalise. It's goalless at the break, and that suits Huddersfield just fine.
Elsewhere, Swansea fans will be devestated as their relegation is all-but-confirmed. They would need to overturn a massive goal difference in order to remain in the division. What was a crucial game was decided by two freakish goals, as Depoitre tapped into an empty net after colliding with Caballero, while Alonso diverted the ball in with his face as Zanka tried to clear. Chelsea were guilty of some very wasteful finishing, with Rudiger in particular to blame. Conte's decision to bench both Hazard and Giroud and not to include Courtois will be very closely scrutinised. It finishes 1-1 here, but Huddersfield are real winners - they are safe for another unlikely year in the Premier League!
