The tempo has understandably all been sucked out of the match, as both teams are keen to get this over with. Saint-Etienne's unbeaten start to the season will come to an end, while PSG's perfect start continues.
90'
There will be a minimum of 3 minutes added on at the end of this match.
88'
The focus now shifts to Tuesday night for PSG as they begin their Champions League campaign in Anfield against last season's runners-up Liverpool. The Paris outfit haven't been able to translate their domestic success into Europe, but they will be hoping that changes this season under Tuchel.
84'
M. Diaby has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by E. Cavani.
ANOTHER FOR THE HOSTS! 4-0 PSG! Meunier drives forward down the left and pulls it back for Cavani on the end of a probing run. The striker scuffs his first-time shot, but it winds up being the perfect pass for Diaby, who smashes home his first Ligue 1 goal at the far post!
Cavani was a bit fortunate there in providing the assist.
83'
It's curtains at Parc des Princes, with PSG closing up shop. Saint-Etienne are getting some run in possession now, but there's little for them to chase but a consolation goal, maybe.
81'
A. Dioussé enters the game and replaces L. Diony.
R. Berić enters the game and replaces Y. Salibur.
Beric also enters the fray, a like-for-like change at the expense of Salibur.
Saint-Etienne make a double switch with just under 10 minutes remaining. Diousse is introduced and will lead the line for the conclusion, replacing Diony.
80'
T. Kehrer enters the game and replaces Thiago Silva.
Tuchel's final change is likely a precautionary one as Kehrer replaces Thiago Silva, who did pick up a slight knock.
76'
Á. Di María has scored a goal for PSG!
THAT'S A STUNNING FINISH! 3-0 PSG! Di Maria has options as he finds space inside the penalty area, but opts to go at it alone and it proves to be the right decision as he blasts a sensational finish into the roof of the net from a difficult angle, leaving Ruffier no chance!
74'
Tuchel can breathe a sigh of relief as Silva pops back up onto his feet and looks fine to continue. They don't want to be without him for their trip to Liverpool this week.
Minute
Description
72'
Thiago Silva makes an excellent defensive intervention to cut out a threatening cross into the area, before being clattered into by Diony. He's come out worse for wear, and will require a bit of attention from the medical staff.
70'
In the first half Saint-Etienne were motivated, determined and threatening on the break, but there has been none of that from them since the restart. If the opener was a dent to their confidence, then the Cavani penalty has been an all out blow.
68'
C. Nkunku enters the game and replaces M. Verratti.
A second PSG change sees Nkunku replace Verratti. It's certainly an attack-minded change from the hosts, despite being comfortably ahead.
65'
OFFSIDE! PSG appear to put the game to bed on the back of a delightful move, with Bernat slipped through on the left and driving a delivery across the face of goal which is turned in by a Saint-Etienne defender, but the offside flag is raised against the full-back!
63'
W. Khazri gets yellow.
Khazri shows good energy to press high up the pitch and win the ball back, but he's a bit over-zealous as he gets his studs up on Thiago Silva, fouling the defender and picking up a yellow card in the process.
62'
NEARLY A THIRD! Meunier does expertly down the right flank before eventually teeing up Di Maria in the centre, but the Argentine's shot from 12 yards deflects behind for a corner!
60'
PSG have monopolised possession in this second half, really grabbing this match by the scruff of the neck. This is proving a nice dress rehearsal for their trip to Anfield this week.
58'
Di Maria gets the crowd going with a stunning dribble to elude an opposing player deep in his own end, escaping trouble. It leads to a long, diagonal ball over the top in the hopes of sending Diaby forward, but Ruffier is wise to it.
56'
It's a long way back for the visitors now. Facing a two-goal deficit, and having already squandered a number of chances, they will have to be feeling a bit discouraged. They've only managed three goals in their four total matches this season.
54'
R. Hamouma enters the game and replaces K. Monnet-Paquet.
Saint-Etienne make their first change of the night, as Hamouma replaces Monnet-Paquet out on the flank.
51'
Penalty goal scored by E. Cavani for PSG!
CAVANI PUTS PSG 2-0 AHEAD! An emphatic penalty from the striker, as he drives a perfectly placed strike in to his right, sending Ruffier the wrong way.
49'
There is a holdup here as the referee is consulting with VAR. All signs point to this one being a penalty, though.
48'
PENALTY TO PSG! A delicious ball is played into the area from Rabiot, though it may have been a scuffed shot? Only Rabiot will know. Nonetheless, Cavani takes it in brilliantly and is cut to ground by Perrin. The referee points straight to the spot!
46'
M. Diaby enters the game and replaces L. Diarra.
The second half is underway!
One change at the break, made by the hosts, as Paris-born teenager Diaby replaces Diarra in midfield.
45'
HALF-TIME: PSG 1-0 SAINT-ETIENNE.
44'
A good passage of play from Saint-Etienne amounts to nothing, as they do everything right to get into attack, but no one takes ownership from there. The incisive througball or cross is never even attempted in the end, as a square pass is intercepted and PSG can get back in control.
42'
Areola bails out Kimpembe following an error from the PSG centre-half, as he bursts off his line to collect an errant pass just before Diony is able to pounce. That could have spelled disaster for the hosts!
40'
The visitors have clawed their way back into the match, doing well to limit PSG and ride out the wave following the opening goal. The tempo has fizzled out a bit, but Saint-Etienne are enjoying much more time on the ball now, as they were when the match was goalless.
38'
A. Rabiot gets yellow.
The first booking of the night is shown to PSG's Rabiot, and there's no doubt about this one. The midfielder goes to ground rather theatrically in the penalty area despite no contact, and he's issued a yellow as a result.
34'
Better spell from Saint-Etienne, this. Areola is forced into a simple save from a long-range strike, but the visitors manage to keep the pressure on, and moments later it's Khazri who sees a strike deflected behind for a corner, off Thiago Silva.
32'
Despite all their possession here, PSG still are missing that creative spark in the attacking half. They're not generating a whole lot with their time on the ball, but have more than enough quality in the side. It only takes one moment of brilliance for them to score, as you have already seen.
30'
The visitors aren't having nearly as much success now in transition, as they're struggling to break out of their own half when they do win back possession. PSG have been in complete control since opening the score.
28'
This is starting to get a bit lopsided with PSG imposing themselves in possession, allowing Saint-Etienne far less joy. The visitors have been made to rue those missed chances already - they can ill-afford to miss anymore.
24'
PSG are pouring the pressure now, buoyed by that opener, while Saint-Etienne look a bit shaky. Di Maria tries another shot from the edge of the box, this one deflecting off a defender's hand via his leg. The hosts appeal for a penalty, but that would have been incredibly harsh.
22'
J. Draxler has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by M. Verratti.
WHAT. A. GOAL! 1-0 PSG! Verratti clips in an absolutely stunning ball through for Draxler, and the German produces two stunning touches with his head, the first to tee himself up and the second to lift a finish over Ruffier! PSG lead, and it has to be said, that has come against the run of play!
Verratti produced a moment of magic there to play in Draxler. That is a stunning assist.
21'
PSG LET OFF THE HOOK AGAIN! The visitors remain a consistent threat in possession, offering much more going forward than the hosts. Monnet-Paquet leads the charge down the right this time, and his pull-back finds its way to M'Vila, but the midfielder shoots wide!
19'
HOW HAS HE MISSED THAT?! Salibur drives forward and has a shot deflected behind for a corner, and the ensuing delivery is met by an unmarked Perrin, but the skipper inexplicably heads wide! That's two big chances in the last four minutes that haven't been converted!
17'
PSG are taking a very measured approach on the ball, like a lion crouched in tall grass, waiting for the chance to pounce. The visitors have looked very strong at both ends, though, as they are quite clearly determined to keep this unbeaten run alive.
15'
HUGE CHANCE! Saint-Etienne break on the counter, with Salibur making a strong run down the right and capping it off with a stunning ball into the six-yard box, but Diony opts to take it on his left foot and pokes his first-time effort wide! That had to be in the back of the net!
13'
Despite all this PSG possession, their slower approach has played into the hands of this Saint-Etienne defence, which is doing an excellent job of keeping the hosts at arm's length.
11'
Settled in now are the hosts, patiently working the ball around as they remain intent on keeping possession inside the attacking half. They've strayed a bit from the very direct approach adopted early on, instead imposing themselves as they camp out in attack.
7'
The shots keep coming here as the sides exchange attacks. PSG push forward without Cavani, who stays down on the pitch following a challenge, but Di Maria doesn't need any help as he goes at it alone and bends a decent effort at Ruffier from 20 yards.
5'
Good response by the visitors, who enjoy a decent spell in attack, which culminates in an open look for Khazri, be his strike from 25 yards is straight at Areola!
3'
EARLY CHANCE FOR PSG! Lovely, incisive run from Di Maria who dances his way into the area with sublime grace, before squaring for Draxler, who forces Ruffier into an excellent save with his first-time shot! The ensuing corner is met by Draxler as well, but he blasts his shot over from the edge of the penalty area.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Saint-Etienne in their white strip as they get the match underway, with PSG in blue.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of this Ligue 1 match as table-toppers PSG welcome Saint-Etienne to Parc des Princes!
PSG haven’t missed a beat under Thomas Tuchel, as the defending Ligue 1 champions have opened the season with four successive victories, all by at least two goals, while scoring three or more times in each of them.
Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have led the charge for PSG, scoring four goals each already, but the depth of the defending champions will be tested tonight as both are expected to miss out - the former having just made the long trip back from international duty and the latter serving a red card suspension.
Saint-Etienne have put together their own strong start to the season and are one of just two to sides to remain unbeaten through their opening four matches (along with PSG) – a streak which will be put to the test in the capital tonight.
Jean-Louis Gasset’s side have managed to stay unbeaten thanks to a rigid defence and disciplined shape, conceding just twice thus far in four games, but their own struggles in front of goal have prevented them from turning a few of those draws into victories.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
PSG (4-3-3): Alphonse Areola; Thomas Meunier, Thiago Silva, Presnel Kimpembe, Juan Bernat; Marco Verratti, Lass Diarra, Adrien Rabiot; Angel Di Maria, Julian Draxler, Edinson Cavani.
SUBS: Christopher Nkunku, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Thilo Kehrer, Moussa Diaby, Gianluigi Buffon, Marquinhos, Stanley N'Soki.
SAINT-ETIENNE (4-2-3-1): Stephane Ruffier; Gabriel Silva, Loic Perrin, Neven Subotic, Timothee Kolodziejczak; Ole Selnaes, Yann M'Vila; Yannis Salibur, Wahbi Khazri, Kevin Monnet-Paquet; Lois Diony.
SUBS: Assane Diousse, Robert Beric, Jessy Moulin, William Saliba, Romain Hamouma, Mickael Panos, Arnaud Nordin.
Gasset has made just two changes from the draw with Amiens. Gabriel Silva starts ahead of Debuchy at right-back, while Monnet-Paquet getting the nod over Cabella on the wing.
As expected, PSG are without both Neymar and Mbappe for tonight's clash, with Draxler and the more defensive-minded Verratti taking their place in the side. Those are two of the four changes made by Tuchel from the win over Nimes, with N'Soki and Marquinhos giving way to Bernat, the debutant, and Diarra.
Julian Draxler's exquisite header has PSG leading at the interval, but it has not been the most convincing from the hosts, who have out-shot and out-chanced through 45 minutes, with Saint-Etienne failing to make the most of their opportunities. This one is far from over.
That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
PSG's narrow half-time lead may have been undeserved and unconvincing, but they removed any semblance of a doubt after the restart as they hammered three past Saint-Etienne over the final 45 minutes. It's the perfect dress rehearsal for Tuesday's trip to Liverpool, as they extend their perfect start to the Ligue 1 season to five matches.
