Dortmund have won four out of their five previous games since the return of the Bundesliga in May, just suffering a defeat against Bayern Munich, to leave them trailing the leaders at the top. They beat Hertha Berlin 1-0 last time out, to see them sit seven points behind Bayern with just four games left to play.
Meanwhile Dusseldorf are in a relegation battle at the bottom of the Bundesliga, they are currently 16th and three points from safety having lost against Bayern and then drawn their last game against Hoffenheim.
Dortmund may turn to Haaland in the second half in order to break the deadlock, they are just missing something up front at the moment, despite Sancho and Brandt linking up very well, but not creating much.
That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
This victory for Dortmund means that they can still overcome Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga, even if that remains unlikely, with the gap at four points ahead of the leaders' kick off later on Saturday. Meanwhile Dusseldorf remain 16th, three points adrift of Mainz.
